Hotel puur geboekt op de beoordelingen, het viel ons echter toch wat tegen. Om te beginnen, het is heel relaxed en je komt hier prima tot rust, personeel is zeer vriendelijk, heerlijk zwembad en overal genoeg ruimte om te ontspannen. Handdoeken op de ligstoelen bij het zwembad is wel doodirritant. Hotels zouden (net als het hotel waar we voor deze verbleven) hier echt wat aan moeten doen. Kamers moeten echt gerenoveerd worden, gang ruikt muf naar vloerbedekking. Het ontbijt is zeker niet bijzonder, in de koffie zijn ze de koffiebonen vergeten. Als je dan wel goede koffie wilt moet je extra betalen en zijn de de bonen alsnog vergeten. Bier uit de tap is niet lekker. Gemiddelde leeftijd van de bezoekers was pensionado , vandaar dat je helemaal tot rust kom; enige minpunt hiervan is dat je af en toe tussen de wandelstokken en rollators moet slalommen.

Perfecte basis voor ontspannende vakantie.
Schitterend hotel met zeer goede faciliteiten. Vooral de vriendelijkheid van het personeel wensen wij in het verf te zetten! Eten en service in de verschillende restaurantjes was voortreffelijk. Spa is top.

Het Porto Mare hotel is een heerlijk hotel. Kamers zijn schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Mogen alleen een upgrade krijgen naar de 21e eeuw. Dat wil niet zeggen dat het oud is, maar een tikkeltje oubollig. Wij hadden een jr. suite, die maar liefst 2 badkamers had. Om het hotel heen zijn voldoende horecagelegenheden, de a la carte restaurants in het hotel zelf zijn eveneens erg goed (buffet niet geprobeerd).

Geweldig mooi hotel en prima service
Geweldig Rondreis over het eiland met huurauto gedaan en 2 keer in dit hotel verbleven. Super mooie tuin met zwembaden en altijd plek om te liggen. ook in juli met een vol hotel en mooi weer. Leuk gelegen dicht bij zee waar ook een strandje van rotsen is waar je kunt liggen en in zee kunt zwemmen met diverse watersporten. veel leuke restaurantjes in de omgeving op loopafstand. Hotel is groot, met veel voorzieningen. Poolen en tafeltennis tegen zeer redelijke prijs van 2 euro per uur. Ligging van deze ruimte kan iets gezelliger en centraler. Super ligging van restaurant voor het ontbijt met groot terras, waar ook altijd plek is als je even wilt wachten (5 minuutjes max). Uitgebreid buffet, waar misschien nog iets meer warme gerechtjes kunnen (bijvoorbeeld pannekoekjes). Parkeren prima geregeld in parkeergarage van het hotel zonder kosten. Dit is elders in Madeira wel anders (betalen en lastig). Zeer vriendelijk personeel, alles kan en wordt geregeld. Je voelt je echt gewaardeerd. Wat alleen beter kan is de service in de poolbar en het assortiment. Personeel volop aanwezig maar druk met elkaar bezig, en laten je wachten. Zou leuk zijn als er smoothies zijn, tosti's en dergelijke, maar er is beperkt ijs, en drank. Deze zijn te duur en service is langzaam, dus mensen lopen naar de super vlak buiten het hotel en halen daar de drankjes (koud) en hun versnaperingen. Aan te raden om een auto te huren, om veel te kunnen zien. Aanrader: lunch in CR 7 hotel bij de haven. Prima plek.

Het hotel perfect,personeel allemaal even vriendelijk. Erg Engels georienteerd en dat merk je vooral bij het ontbijt. Het selfservice restaurant slecht voor zo.n hotel. Het italiaanse restaurant was goed. Wij hebben vaak aan de overkant bij het hotel gegeten , prima kwaliteit tegen zeer goede prijzen. Prijzen aan het zwembad veel te duur. Een kopje expresse gaat 3x over de kop en hetzelfde geld voor water. Wij gaan niet meer terug naar Madeira , want we zijn geen wandelaars!

La chambre a une vue exceptionnelle sur la piscine et l’océan. Le lit est fait chaque jour mais pas d’aspirateur. Au bout d’une semaine, le sol n’est plus très propre. La baignoire présente des traces de rouillés et les flexibles de douche fuient de partout. Inacceptable pour un 4 étoiles.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit vielen Möglichkeiten, um sich zu beschäftigen (Indoor-Pool, Outdoor-Pool, Minigolf, Spa...). Es ist sehr sauber, das Frühstücksbuffet hat eine gute Auswahl geliefert. Lediglich die Freundlichkeit des Personals könnte noch etwas verbessert werden. Einige Mitarbeitende waren sehr freundlich, andere hingegen etwas unterkühlt.

A great stay at this lovely hotel. The bus stop is directly outside of the hotel so it is very easy to get to the town on Funchal. If you don't want to venture out there is plenty for ou to do with indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, lounging areas, bars and restaurants. The spa was lovely.

Rimeligt, men bedre betjening savnes.
Godt mellemklasse-hotel, vores værelse var fint med dejlig terrasse og havudsigt. Personalet i receptionen var uengageret og nærmest uhøflig. Det kan gøres meget bedre! Morgenbuffet var god, dog med lunken kaffe.

The gardens shared by the three properties was amazing. Was able to walk to downtown Funchal from the hotel and the Lido bathing complex was located behind the property.

Dejlige omgivelser, roligt, palmer og fuglefløjt, rent og pænt overalt, gode værelser med fantastiske senge. Mange pools, vi brugte kun en opvarmet pool hvor man kunne svømme fra inde til udendørs, den var god i december. Stor morgenmadsbuffet.

Bra hotel.

Great place to stay while in Funchal. Comfortable rooms, great pools and other amenities. AC didn’t work properly the first night, but was repaired promptly the next morning. Fantastisk hotel !
Hotellet har udover en vidunderlig central placering også en masse fantastiske faciliteter såsom luksus SPA, store pools både indvending og udvendig, fede trænings-faciliteter, minigolf, bordtennis, skak, med mere. Personalet er meget imødekommende - særligt en skøn servitrice Ines M, skiller sig ud med hendes væsen. Ines M. Tak ! Værelserne er gode, altanen / balkonen stor, sengene er bedre end min egen 😊 og wifi er så godt, at man kan streame en god film eller en serie om aftenen, når man er færdig med at lytte til hotellets underholdning i form af skøn musik.
