Wonderful Getaway

We so enjoyed our stay we didn't leave the property. We had planned some activities in the area but decided just to hang out and appreciate this beautiful setting. The photos don't do justice to the setting and the house is spacious, quiet, comfortable with everything we needed for a most enjoyable getaway. Everyone in our group remarked how relaxing and enjoyable our visit was.

Beautiful home

The home and studio apartment are beautiful and cozy and very well stocked with towels and dishes and toiletries and first aid supplirs. High end appliances. Great communication. Accurate listing. Gravel roads a little scary in the dark and note if your go towards Klickitat you will lose cell service. The only cons are only one TV (more a kid con than a parent con) the house is 3 levels so not for someone not able to do stairs very well and set up is a little maze-like but all areas are very spacios with beautiful views. Hot tub very nice and spacious and appreciated the ease of getting the cover on and off. I would suggest some shelving in the apartment bathroom to the right of the sink. The basketball game in garage did not work electronically and could use a basketball pump but the teens had a lot of fun with it still and the ping pong and hair hockey tables. The new deck off the apartment is beautiful and will be an excellent addition once completed. For as many people as the house fits it would be nice to have access to more freezer space as the house freezer is small and we like to have ready made frozen meals to save time. Kids loved it and I loved it and will be back.

Such a great property!!

A group of friends and I had a wonderful stay at this house. The house was clean and comfortable to be in with lots of fun amenities to make up for the distance from town. We loved the disc golf course, super clean hot tub, and garage full of games like basketball, skeeball, ping pong, and cornhole. There's even a little creek running through the property that was fun to explore. This place felt like a great, secluded place to retreat and reconnect for a few days. One thing I wish I had known before booking is the distance from the town of Lyle. We drove 15-20 minutes from the town itself to reach the property, which changed a few of our plans for the weekend, but we still had a great time. There was very light rain for a few afternoons, and the roads to get up to the property were easily driven by a range of vehicles. The living space is cozy and a little tight if you intend to gather 10 people in the living room all weekend, but we are a close bunch and had no problems sharing the space and moving chairs over to all be together. I would come back to this place again and again. People claimed that the kitchen was well-stocked and boy were they right! I do agree that a big boiling pot would be a great addition to the place for making large meals like pasta for 10. Thank you for a great stay!! Round two is already in the works.

Relaxing Getaway

We attended a wedding and stayed at The Oaks for an extended weekend. The property is expansive and the disk golf course is awesome! The Hot Tub hit the spot after a full day. The house is furnished very nicely and the kitchen is well stocked with just about any kitchen appliance/gadgets you will need. Loved it! We hope to visit again!

Great get away !

The property is a great get away for families who want to disconnect from the daily hustle, we had a good time together and the place is separated from the rest of the area with 20 acres of land, the view are good and house was well equipped ! It’s a little far away from the sci-fi city areas of mount hood/Columbia river gorge , however the drive is fantastic.

Very nice place to stay

This property is as good as any we have stayed at. Easily accommodated 5 men. The home appears to be mostly new or remodeled. The kitchen was very well stocked - maybe the best we've ever seen. If you need it - it's there. The only exception to that might be a really big boiler pot for sous vide. (There were plenty of pots for pasta, pans etc). Large dining room table was comfortable to sit at. We were primarily there to fish near by and didn't use the other toys provided. There was large hot tub, table tennis, indoor dual sided competition basketball game (not real basketball) and real outdoor Frisbee course. The temperature gauge was useful for us to see the weather conditions. One of us used the apartment above the garage. Kitchenette, large and comfortable. Drive time to the klick was about 30 minutes. One hour to Deschutes - but beware that the Dalles bridge has been undergoing repairs and closes from Thur-Sunday (adds 30 minutes each way to go the Deschutes). Work should have been done, but was ongoing while we were there. Communication was excellent. We had some challenges to get into the apartment loft when we first arrived, they provided what we needed. We blew a fuse and after a short search, we ended up calling the owners pretty late (10P or so) and they directed us (and provided us the combo) fuse box. Easy to work with. Overall great place.

Great house!

We do an annual trip to the gorge to meet up with long time friends and explore the area. The Oaks was one of my favorite homes we’ve stayed at yet. Well appointed with everything you need. The hot tub was amazing and games were fun to have since this home is a bit farther out and we ended up spending more time just hanging out there. Great set up for 4 couples, beds were comfortable. Kitchen was great for cooking and when the breaker to the stove and microwave went off, the Arrived rep was quick to help us resolve the issue. We saw cows, deer and turkeys wondering the property :)

A wonderful get-away place.

We were a group of senior college friends and the house was perfect for our yearly reunion. Spotlessly clean, well-stocked kitchen, large dining table and four bathrooms- very nice. It was too cold and windy to use the hot-tub, but it was in perfect condition. The frisbee golf course would challenge elite players! We enjoyed a ping pong tournament instead.

A slice of heaven on earth

This place is a literal slice of heaven. We visited the town of klickitat last year and decided to step it up and book the oaks in Lyle this year (not far at all) 8 family members in total- kids included. This house is in a prime location, on 20 acres that are hikable with your kids. I want to add, it was spotless, floors, towels, shelves, it was done right! Streams running through, disc golf, eagles flying above, it is so gorgeous. We didn’t see or hear a car the entire stay, only birds chirping. The check in process was easy, communication with the property group was convenient. The home itself has a great selection of things, a few choices of coffee machines and espresso, huge TVs equipped with plenty apps like Netflix games for all ages, and a great book selection too. There is plenty space to bring multiple people and still have private space for all. The decor is gorgeous, they have done such a nice job. Garage has ping pong and a basketball hoop. You can bring the entire family here and feel confident they will all enjoy it and have fun. We hope to make this a yearly thing. Thank you for offering your amazing home. I will remember it forever, came as a single women and left engaged - it must be magical

Secluded modern contemporary home

We have stayed at several vacations rentals over the years and never have we stayed in one that was more equipped and as well decorated as The Oaks. The owners really put a lot of time and effort into what is in this home. The attention to detail was outstanding. This home will not leave you wanting. Great for big family’s or multiple family groups as it offers something for everyone!! The great outdoors awaits you- with high tech amenities if needed. This is a one of a kind family friendly home!
