Located on an upper floor of a traditional building in the heart of Alfama (no elevator), this bright studio makes the most of its elevated position, offering plenty of natural light and open views over the surrounding neighbourhood.

Compact yet thoughtfully arranged, it is best suited to couples or solo travellers looking for a comfortable place to rest after a day exploring Lisbon rather than a spacious apartment for extended indoor living.

Living & Sleeping Area:

The main room combines the sleeping, dining and living spaces in one open-plan layout.

A comfortable double bed (160 × 200 cm) sits at the centre of the room, while a small dining table by the window is perfect for breakfast, planning your day or enjoying a quiet evening indoors.

Large windows allow plenty of daylight into the apartment, giving the studio a bright and airy atmosphere throughout the day.

Please note that the apartment does not have a television.

Kitchenette:

The separate kitchenette is compact but practical for preparing simple meals during your stay.

Bathroom:

- The bathroom is compact, which is common in buildings of this age.
- There is currently a major redevelopment project opposite the building, so construction noise may be heard during weekday working hours.
- As with many historic buildings in Alfama, sound insulation is limited and some noise from neighbours or the surrounding streets may occasionally be noticeable.
- During June, the Santos Populares festivities bring music, celebrations and crowds to the neighbourhood late into the night.

The apartment is located in Alfama, one of Lisbon’s most atmospheric neighborhoods, where walking is often the best way to get around. Narrow streets, stairways, viewpoints, cafés, and everyday local life are right outside the door.

On Foot:
Many of Lisbon’s historic highlights are within walking distance. Expect slopes, steps, and traditional stone pavement - comfortable shoes are essential, but exploring Alfama on foot is part of the experience.

Metro & Trains:
The closest metro and train station is Santa Apolónia (Blue Line), around a 7–10 minute walk away. From here, you can easily reach Baixa, Chiado, Avenida da Liberdade, Belém, and other key areas of the city.

Trams:
Several iconic Lisbon trams operate nearby, including the famous Tram 28, connecting Alfama to Graça, Baixa, and Estrela. Trams are a scenic way to move around but can be busy, especially during peak hours.

Buses:
Multiple bus routes serve the surrounding area, offering additional connections across the city, including to riverfront areas and central districts.

Riverfront & Trains:
From Santa Apolónia station, you also have access to regional and national trains, making day trips easy and convenient.

Access & Mobility Notes:
The street is strictly pedestrian, so cars cannot stop at the door. Taxis and ride services can reach the nearest access point, followed by a short walk. The area includes slopes and uneven pavement, which is typical of Alfama.

Alfama is a lively, lived-in neighborhood, especially in the evenings. In June, during the Santos Populares festivities, the streets fill with music, people, and celebrations late into the night, a unique local experience for those who choose to stay here.

￫ The property is Self-Catered. Complimentary basic items are provided for your arrival, including first-day toiletries, toilet paper, etc. These items are offered on a welcome basis only - replacements or re-fills are not provided.

￫ Bed and bath linen are provided according to the number of guests confirmed in the reservation. For stays longer than 7 nights, additional bed and bath linen will be provided for free at the check-in.

￫ The Cleaning Fee included in your reservation covers the check-out cleaning only. Extra cleanings or fresh linens can be requested during your stay and are subject to an extra fee - these requests must be done with at least 24 hours in advance.

￫ Check-in time starts at 14:00 and check-out must be done until 11:00(am). Before leaving, please place the keys inside the lockbox. Only one set of keys will be provided.

￫ During the stay, the guest is responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of the property's keys. Please avoid leaving them in the lock or mailbox. In the event that a specialized technician is needed for door opening or in case of damage to the key and/or lock, the costs associated with this service will be the responsibility of the guest. In case of key loss, a penalty will be applied.
