I want to begin this review by stating that it pains me to write this because we met one of the owners and they seemed lovely and helpful. But the issues with Heritage Lodge were too numerous to ignore. Especially at this price tag. To me it seems to be a hosting issue that could probably be rectified if Experienced Stays was eliminated and someone who merely answered the phone or gave a care was involved.That being said. Here we go. We booked the home for Christmas time thinking it would be a great place for the entire family to gather again for the holiday. Once we got the confirmation email saying we were booked I emailed them to ask if we could put up a Christmas tree. No response. We did get a request to download the DACK app so we could better communicate with the hosts regarding our stay. Ok. Done. Maybe we can contact them through the app and get a response? Nope. When you click on “contact us” it says to text them. On what number? Once we arrived things didn’t improve. One of the rooms had a fly infestation. Not just a couple, but a nest or breach in the structure of the home allowing this many to get inside. We again tried reaching out to Experienced Stays and asked our point person “Emily” to call us asap as that part of the home was uninhabitable. She didn’t call. But she did email and said they would send the cleaners back to address the issue. That never happened. Dryer didn’t work. Wrong internet password. No soap or shampoo. It went on and on.
