Definitely not as pictures show. I think the pictures online are old and should be updated. One of the bedroom windows did not lock. Beds were uncomfortable. Stated it sleeps 5, but the upstairs was like a sauna. There was a fan, but it was broken. So no one couldâve slept up there with temps being in the 90s. Definitely not worth the price we paid.
Overall the place was cute and well maintained. There were only a few things that I didnât like. No wood for the fire pit, no chairs to sit on outside, and the wood seating was crawling with ants and some weird black bugs. We couldnât find the bathroom towels which ended up being rolled up on the beds. And the place even with AC was super hot! We went up in the loft where the kid games were and couldnât even be up there for more than 5 minutes because it was so hot! Not enough wall outlets for charging things and/or they were placed in weird areas. Blinds were broken, fireplace glass was cracked and lastly the area was not really the safest for a family. Otherwise, not bad for 1 night.
Super cute home with everything we needed. Loved the upstairs room and the backyard. Perfect location for getting to town or for the KY Horse Park, plus supermarkets just 2 miles away. Lots of towels, beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well stocked.
Over all - I would recommend this home. I think the owners/ managers should come visit and make some updates though. The house is adequate. The neighborhood is nice. Pretty quiet. The house is located close to many interesting places in Lexington. The property managers were quick to respond to messages. The seating could be more comfortable. There wasnât dish soap or garbage bags - not even one to get us started when we arrived. Also there was food left behind in the fridge and freezer. (Probably need to check in with cleaning company on this one.) Plenty of kitchenware though for cooking. The kitchen sink hot water - doesnât get very hot to clean dishes. I microwaved water to wash out dishes.
Fine property decently appointed. If you plan on cooking much (a major reason we chose VBRO style accommodations over hotels) Iâd bring more than you think youâll need. We were slightly disappointed to find a rental that boasts a capacity to host 5 only had three forks lolBut other than that it was a fine place to stay. The furniture is comfortable and itâs close to several things we needed while in Lexington.
