Traumhafte Wohnung

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist toll ausgestattet und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Vom ersten Moment haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und jederzeit für Fragen offen.

Lovely property in a quiet village

A fabulous property in the small and quiet village of Saint-Jean-De-Belleville. Just a 10/15 minute drive from the ski lifts at Saint Martin De Belleville, around 20 minutes from Les Menuires and 30 minutes from Val Thoren. The property is a very well presented and cosy chalet with a large hot tub under the property which you have to go outside to access. Although there is a log burner, we never had to light it as the underfloor heating throughout the property keeps it lovely and warm. Beds are comfy and showers always hot. There is one indoor toilet (one also by the hot tub) which wasn’t a problem for us as a family of 4. The owner, Thierry is excellent and is always there to offer support and help if you need it, he will also give you ideas for local walks and places to visit. However, if you don’t need anything you won’t really see him, apart from when you seeing him walking around the village with his dog. We had a lovely stay over Easter, with lots of fresh snow the skiing (especially in Val Thorens) was excellent. We loved our daily drive up the valley, so beautiful. The 3 valleys resorts were affected by strong winds which closed much of them for 3 days but as La Plagne is only an hours drive away we headed over there to continue our skiing fix. Apart from a weekly pizza van there are no shops or restaurants in the village. So you will need to make sure you have your essentials and use shops in other towns or the big Carrefour in Moutiere.

Super angenehme und gemütliche Unterkunft

Der Aufenthalt war sehr gut. Die Wohnung ist ruhig gelegen und hat alles, was man in einem Skiurlaub braucht: sehr gute Ausstattung, gute Aufteilung der Räume. Viel Platz im Aufenthaltsbereich. Ein Bad ist in einem der 3 Schlafzimmer (kein Problem). Die 2. Toilette ist beim Jacuzzi, sie ist schnell zu erreichen, man muss die Wohnung dafür verlassen (war für uns kein Problem). In St.Jean ist kein restaurand und man kann nichts einkaufen. Man muss in Moutiers (vorzugsweise) oder St. Martin einkaufen. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Evtl. auftretende Themen kann man gut mit ihm besprechen.

Formidable!

Très beau chalet, spacieux où il fait bon se reposer après une journée de ski! il ne manque rien! un poêle pour un petit feu, une terrasse pour profiter d'un thé avec un rayon de soleil, un coin cocooning avec grand canapé pour l'apéro et le jacuzzi pour le retour des pistes! Le propriétaire est vraiment au top, disponible et très sympa je recommande vivement!

A wonderful retreat in the trois vallees area

This house is extremely nice, nicer than it appears in the photos. We were four people- two adults, one teen and a twelve year old and there was more than enough room (even room for guests if you want). The house is fully equipped, with all kitchen amenities including coffee, tea, pans, utensils, etc. The hot tub works well, and is a nice relaxing treat. We used the fireplace often, though just for ambiance, since the house was well heated. Thierry is truly a super host. He spent time at check in to show us everything including bringing us in to the village and showing us around, even taking our skis. The town of st jean de belleville is around 10-15 mins drive from saint martin de belleville. We came over christmas, and the snow was an issue, so we drove to val thorens which is around 25 mins drive, where there was snow the whole time. The restaurants in saint martin de belleville are average and a bit overpriced, and it is best to buy groceries in mouthier and cook for yourself for most meals. The village of st jean was extremely quiet and gave you the feel of the french countryside. A small complaint was with the church bells that rang a few times per hour, which though charming, was a bit annoying. The house itself couldnt be nicer - a combination of country house with modern interior. Highly recommend!

Très beau chalet avec très belle vue, une vaste salle commune avec cuisine aménagée avec beaucoup de goût. Thierry est un hôte très attentif et réactif et nous a dépanné lorsque nous en avons eu besoin. L'équipement dans la cuisine est au top, le Jacuzzi est un plus dont nous avons bien profité, nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. Nous avons énormément apprécié notre séjour et la gentillesse de notre hôte. Parfait pour des familles.

Fantastic chalet!

What an amazing visit! Our family stayed for a week during the February half term and we had an excellent holiday. The chalet has everything you would need for a week on the slopes. SMDB is an easy 10-15 drive from the chalet and we had no problem finding a parking space in the large car park close to the bottom of the telecabine. There is covered parking for one car which is useful if there is heavy snow during your stay. We needed snow chains to access enter village on one day due to heavy snow, but generally the road are kept clear. We all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the cave below the property, and curling up on the large sofa to watch a movie at the end of a long day. Many thanks to Thierry for making us feel so welcome!

Beaucoup de charme

Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine dans ce chalet. La cuisine ouverte sur la salle à manger et le salon offre une convivialité très agréable. Elle est bien équipée, nous n’avons manqué de rien. Chalet est très confortable et le poêle présent est magnifique mais tellement efficace que nous ne nous en sommes servi qu’une seule fois. La semaine a été magnifiquement ensoleillée et le chauffage descendu au minimum car l’isolation est bonne. Le grand jacuzzi est vraiment un plaisir en fin de journée pour détendre les muscles ! Très bonne communication avec Thierry qui est extrêmement réactif ! Petit défaut : Il manque un petit marche-pied pour le jacuzzi car assez haut pour les personnes plus petites puissent y rentrer 😅(notre cas !) Lave-linge peu pratique et dysfonctionant et pas de sèche linge. Au final, un beau chalet très bien équipé et décoré avec goût. Nous y avons de beaux souvenirs !

Superbe séjour!

Accueil chaleureux et très sympathique de Thierry, le propriétaire, un chalet où rien ne manque : confortable, bien décoré, et une jolie vue. Idéalement situé pour faire des très belles randonnées autour des grandes stations (les Menuires, Val Thorens) mais aussi (et surtout) des vallées plus préservées avec de magnifiques paysages. Et pour terminer la journée, détente assurée dans le jacuzzi . Un super séjour en famille!

Séjour très agréable et dépaysant!

Le chalet est très bien situé, le village de SaintJean de Belleville, village typique des alpes, a su conserver toute son authenticité. Le contraste est saisissant avec les stations Des Menuires et Val Thorens situées un peu plus haut dans la vallée et qui elles n’ont pour le coup aucun charme. Le gîte est très agréable, bien aménagé, moderne tout en respectant l’architecture traditionnelle et les matériaux anciens, le jacuzzi est un vrais plus après les randonnées! De la terrasse on apprécie une vue magnifique et dégagée sur les montagnes. C’est totalement dépaysant lorsqu’on ne vient pas de la montagne. Le propriétaire est très sympathique et accommodant, ils nous a bien renseigné sur les randonnées (nombreuses) à faire dans les petites vallées à proximité immédiates. En dehors des randonnées il y a beaucoup d’autres activités à faire aux alentours, aux Menuires on trouve toutes les activités d’été tel que le VTT de descente, la luge d’été, les piscines, etc... Nous recommandons fortement!

White X-mas in a cozy chalet!

A family of four, we were looking for a White Christmas skiing experience while staying in a cozy chalet - this exactly what we found! The chalet has a spacious living area on the upper floor with a well equipped open kitchen, a large eating area, a big relax sofa and a fire place. On the lower floor there are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and one separate toilette - floor heating in all rooms, The whirlpool is accessed through a separate door. We enjoyed our stay very much and will come back. Thierry is a very nice host.
