The house, with its cathedral ceiling, was nice and open. The layout was great. The property manager worked well with us on a few minor issues that got resolved. The fenced in, full lot, was great for the dog. The location was 12 minutes from Walmart, Publix and Aldi. It was18 miles to the beaches (Fort Myers Beach, Lover’s Key State Park, dog park, etc.) and it took 1 to 1 ¼ hours to get there with the road and traffic. Plan on long trip to beaches. There were two disappointing features: The back porch was filthy. We spent 3 hours removing everything to wash it down; full of dust and dirt. During the stay it easily got dusty from the surrounding environment, so it was understandable how it got in that condition. But it should have been cleaned by the cleaning service before we arrived. The grass had not been watered and was all dormant. It was nothing but dried up stubble. It was very unpleasant to walk on. It was not appealing for laying in back yard to sunbath. If the grass has been watered and the back porch cleaned when arrived we could give it a better rating. The distance to the beach can’t be changed.
