'After reading a bad review, we were unsure whether to book but it was unwarranted because our stay was wonderful! The host was welcoming, helping us with a restaurant booking nearby. The room was the largest we have stayed in since travelling around France. It said online it had air conditioning but it had a fan which was sufficient as the large room was very cool.'

'Een idyllische plek waar men er alles aan doet om je thuis te laten voelen in de Dordogne op 10 min. Van Bergerac. Goede wijnen, whiskey’s en heerlijk culinair eten. Goed onderhouden golfbaan. Fijn zwembad, mooie villa’s om te huren met het gezin. Men spreek Nederlands, Engels en Frans. Eigenaren zijn Nederlands. '

'Rustig gelegen hotel net buiten het stadje Eyzies, dat op wandelafstand bereikbaar is. Prima restaurant met een beperkte kaart maar met topgerechten die in een sterren restaurant niet zouden misstaan.'

'A lovely family run hotel with attention to detail and great service. Great location, with a super pool (great for kids). Beautiful views across the hillsides. Breakfast was delicious and very fresh. Friday night BBQ and live music was a lovely experience. We visited a local Thai restaurant on Friday evening, as recommended by the hotel - they weren’t wrong. It was really tasty and the service excellent. All in all would highly recommend and would love to return to Hotel L’Abbaye!'
