'Our experience at this rental was disappointing from the start. Upon arrival, we had no check-in details and spent over an hour trying to reach the host. When we finally got into the room, we found it unclean—there was hair on the sheets, ants on the pillow, bugs on the walls, and a very dirty bathroom. 'Monkey Lala is a great place to stay if you want beachfront property in El Tunco. The rooms are well taken care of and the patio space is abundant. The only thing I would say is make sure you bring some earplugs or noise cancelling headphones as it gets quite loud on fridays and Saturdays with the discotec right next to the property. If you can get past that small thing, its totally worth the stay. Wonderful. '

'Stayed two nights during Semana Santa. The place is directly on a nice beach, but once you are there, you are there and there aren't any other bars and restaurants around. You'll need a car to reach it. The owner was very attentive, asking numerous times if we liked the place. It has a certain charm but I can't say that it has much in the way of comfort.
