Everything was amazing. Cleanliness, attentiveness of Darren and obviously the whole property. The swing in the woods was a huge hit for the kiddos. I grew up about 20 minutes away and our family has outgrown staying at my Mom's house. With that said, it still blows me away the beauty of the area and being out on that deck, in the hot tub and even within the house with those views was amazing.

A beautiful house and location. As other reviews state- the online pictures of the view are not even close to how beautiful it is in person. The log cabin feel is what you want in the woods but this one is without the log cabin creepiness- it has high end fixings and appliances, well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, wonderful and well maintained hot tub. We had three generations staying here and it worked very well. I’ve stayed at a lot of Vrbo’s over the years and I have to say this one had by far the best host communication. I received all house information a week in advance- it was absolutely thorough and helpful. And the host was very prompt with communication and messaged after check in to make sure all was well. The cabin is a quick drive to the beach (dog friendly!) or wonderful restaurants and shops in many towns especially Fishtown and Glen Arbor. So many trails nearby to enjoy- all with parking areas making it easy to enjoy. Our stay was late summer but being in the middle of the woods would give a different experience with each season. Would love to experience all the seasons here.

Exceptional property with functional and high end finishes. Well Manicured Forest canopy provides unequivocally view of good harbor bay. Owner incredibly friendly, accommodating and professional. We’ve been renting in Glen Arbor area for 5th year in a row and will be considering renting here next summer.

the view is hard to beat! loved staying here and able to access so many areas so easily. we made the sleeping arrangements work with our multi-generation family trip, but would imagine the layout working better for one larger family. would definitely recommend!

Cozy cabin in the woods

My family and I spent four nights here. The property is well maintained and looked just like the photos. It's a great location if you plan on exploring the Leelenau peninsula and the surrounding national lakeshores. The hot tub was pristine and definitely had the best views I've had from a hot tub. There was also plenty of firewood supplied for the Solo stove. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect weekend

This is a beautiful property. I was so pleasantly surprised by the view overlooking Lake Michigan (the view is better than shown in the listing). The house is very clean and well appointed. Property manager was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Hoping to return annually.

Amazing property!!

The property was simply amazing! The views were perfect and the house itself was perfect! Great weekend for us and hopefully will be coming back next year with another couple! Darren was a great host and was helpful with restaurant suggestions and things to do. Reached out during our stay to see how it was going and checked in at the end. Great to deal with!!

The best!

We came to Overby Woods for our annual family vacation and to escape the city. Our stay at Overby Woods did not disappoint. The cabin is as good or even better than the photos. The view off the back deck is beautiful. The cabin had everything you could possibly need whether you are cooking, bringing home food or eating out at the many restaurants in the area. The location of the cabin is so convenient to several cute towns, the beach, many hiking and biking trails. Darren the owner was super communicative and the guide he sent ahead of our coming was super helpful and a great resource. We will definitely be back. We could not have had a better place to stay for our family vacation.

Great cabin in the woods overlooking Lake Michigan - Perfection

The cabin was awesome. Kitchen had everything one might need and then some. Especially appreciated the little extra things like kitchen towels, garbage bags etc. And the views - just stunning. Thank you Darren for a wonderful and peaceful home away from home.

Our stay at Overby Woods was nothing short of amazing. The house is beautiful, the view is incredible and Darren was wonderful to work with. We had a couple of questions while we were there and he took care of them right away. The house is spacious, the kitchen is full of ammenties, and the grocery delivery service was perfect so that our fridge was stocked before we even arrived. We spent a majority of our time in Glen Arbor and it was a pretty 20 minute drive. We would definitely return!

Fabulous Summer Getaway

Our group of 7 (3 grandparents, 2 kids and 2 adults) had a fabulous week at this property! The view and location can’t be beat. Beautiful vista of Whaleback and just minutes from Good Harbor beach. The house is comfortably furnished for family dinner and movie night. Kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary equipment. Host provided great advance communication and was available to answer any minor questions that popped up along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again!

Fantastic Property!

We just finished an amazing weekend here! The view alone was worth every penny. The cabin was clean, well furnished and had everything we needed. We specifically enjoyed family movie night in the basement! The location was also fantastic. Only 5 minutes from Good Harbor Bay beach (which was amazing) and 10 minutes from Fishtown. Host was also a pleasure to work with and incredibly helpful. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks!!

Private Hilltop Cabin w/ a spectacular View

Perfect fall getaway for colors and cool air. Our Host was responsive and friendly. We had fast, convenient access to eateries, wineries and shopping in Leland, Lake Leelanau and Sutton’s Bay. A definite return visit is being planned! 3 adult and 2 dogs easily fit and the owner assisted with sleeping arrangements (already in place via a trundle and sleeper sofa) for our college daughter and classmate to join us mid trip! We had a view every morning folks pay for with trips to Sleeping Bear, Empire, and even Boyne Mountain; which we all did as well!! Thanks again for the easy booking, rental, and check in/out process!!

Lovely Home

We throughly enjoyed our stay! The home was extremely clean and very cozy. We had a lovely vacation! Very secluded location and just so relaxing. The basement was our favorite hang out area! Peaceful mountaintop retreat!

Beautiful home and perfect location in leelanau county. Close to all towns, beaches and trails! Loved the remote feel and loved the deck and view was better than expected!!! We will be back!!
