The Gowdy Manor is located in the Historic district of Lake City Co. A spacious 6 bedroom 4 bath home with a large kitchen and a lobby room full of entertainment. Located downtown on the corner of Gunnison Ave and 5th St provides ample OHV parking and is located 2 blocks from center of town, restaurants,pubs, shopping and entertainment.

The Manor now has high speed internet through Star link.

Need more room? Inquire about the Gowdy Studio or The Gowdy Apartment. Both are located on the same property The studio sleeps 4 and Apartment sleeps 6. We also offer The Bonnie Rose which is located 1 block over on the corner of Silver and 6th street it is a 5 bedroom 2 bath home which sleeps 12 TLCNR12

Jim’s property is the perfect place to stay in Lake City. We were only 3 people but this would be a great spot for a family gathering. I grew up in a historical part of CT so this home took me back to my childhood surroundings. We rode motorcycles there and Jim offered to bring over 3 pieces of wood for our kickstands to park in the wet gravel. He really went above and beyond and was a great host! Plenty of coffee and things to cook with if that’s important to you!

This house is in the perfect location to walk to town or walk to the river. The yard is great for kids. There are plenty of beds to accommodate a large group. We will definitely be returning!

Family Reunion

We’ve been coming to Lake City for over 30 yrs. This trip was a “reunion” trip and an introduction to some of our family. This was the first time we spent a couple nights in town before moving to cabins out on the way to Cinnamon Pass. It was a great way for the family coming from different parts of the US to meet up.There were 11 of us and the house was perfect. Plenty of parking even for the toy trailer, backyard was great for the kids and our puppy.The owners were amazing and so helpful. We definitely recommend staying here if you have a group of family or friends!

Great get away

This is a nice Victorian home in the heart of Lake City. The location was excellent for our trip - close to everything. We brought machines to ride the Alpine Loop and there was plenty of parking for trailers. The backyard was a great place to relax, BBQ, sit by the fire and enjoy the weather. Kitchen was large with the 2 tables - plenty of space for dining and playing games. The primary suite upstairs was very nice. Two of the upstairs showers were equipped with body jets - nice. Two of the king beds were downstairs and shared a bathroom with no shower which wasn't ideal, but that is a little expected with the age and style of the home. Plenty of bedrooms to accommodate a lot bigger party than we had. Jim was great and gave us a nice walk-thru so we were familiar with the way things worked.

Main Street Lake City Big Group Party House!

Absolutely loved the owners! Jim and Dana were some of the nicest people in the State. They let us tour the place a couple months before our scheduled stay. Boy, do they keep it stocked! You got everything you need here. Plenty of towels and toilet paper were the biggest things for me. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're a big group in Lake City.

Great Location

The owner of the property, Jim was so great! Very helpful and attentive. We had trailers and Jim was great at getting us all settled and showing us where to park, showed us around the property, etc. House was VERY clean and had everything that we needed. There is two bedrooms upstairs where you do have to walk through another bedroom to access the bathroom. It worked out fine for us but could be a little a awkward if you are not family or close friends. Our favorite amenity was the amazing water pressure and the updated shower heads in the bathrooms! The house is very close to town as well which was great as we walked into town several times. Best communication/customer service we have had with a VRBO owner!

Gowdy Manor Stay

Jim was great at communicating with us. He met us at the house when we arrived and made sure we didn’t need anything. He gave recommendations for restaurants and trails to ride. He was very responsive to my texts with questions. The house was clean and well stocked. Nice backyard with seating area around fire pit that we enjoyed each evening.

Amazing Experience

What a beautiful house and an excellent vacation! Jim is amazing, responding immediately to any questions, ensuring everything that was needed was provided. I loved the house, being a history teacher. Apparently summer is the better time to be in Lake City, but I certainly enjoyed it during winter and would 1000% stay with Jim and Dana again!
