The large building on the side of hills isolated and independent is located at the end of a road in the countryside in the middle of sunflower fields away from the stress and bustle ensuring peace and quiet. The pool 11m x 5m surrounded by a wide beach where you take sun baths in a wonderful countryside views. Its south orientation will ensure water at 28 ° C in high season. The terrace due west facing open views you can enjoy the sunsets. Its park and its stone well provide shade and coolness. The spacious house has 5 large bedrooms of 25 m2 each, 2 bathrooms + 1 shower, 2 lounges with fireplaces, a dining room and a kitchen. Amazing peaceful location

The property is fantastic and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is a fantastic property, impressively large with huge bedrooms but perhaps in need of some minor modernising. However, it was perfect for the purpose of our stay which was to relax and unwind. The pool is amazing.

This was our second time staying at Patrick's place. This is a very special place. The Gers is a great place in itself and La Romieu might be the prettiest little town in the region. The setting of the house is also fantastic. Watching the sun set over the fields from the pool will never get old. The location is very private and extremely quiet. Perfect for a break from busy city life. Patrick is an excellent and communicative host. We are already contemplating our return!

Wonderful Gers experience!

What a fantastic place to unwind and to take in the fantastic countryside around La Romieu. This property offers a sense of seclusion but is really close enough to any amenity that we needed. The house itself is great and accurately represented. The grounds, gardens, pool and views are spectacular. We are already contemplating our return!

Séjour dans un magnifique cadre

Pour qui aime la nature et le silence, cette grande location en sommet de colline, dans un superbe parc impeccablement entretenu, à l’esprit zen, est idéale. Repos assuré. Très bons contacts avec le propriétaire très réactif ainsi qu’avec les personnes qui nous ont accueillis à notre arrivée. La propriété est située dans la superbe région de la Lomagne, cette partie du Gers regorge de nombreux villages où les vieilles pierres ont la part belle. Restaurants et producteurs locaux à découvrir aux alentours. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Cadre idyllique !

Très belle location avec de beaux espaces autant en intérieur qu'à l'extérieur . 1 terrasse pour profiter du soleil mais également une autre à l' ombre. Magnifique piscine, ombre sous les arbres juste à côté. Belle balade à pied de 4km pour aller à La Romieu (magnifique!) également. Beaucoup de chemins à faire en vélo. Seul bémol pour les irréductibles connectés ou ceux qui doivent quand même un peu travailler pendant leurs vacances : réseau 4G et Wifi très limité. Aucun vis à vis, un petit paradis!

Stijlvol huis met een fantastisch uitzicht.

We hebben twee weken in dit mooie huis verbleven. Het huis is ruim voor een groep van 10 mensen. Maar het mooiste is de rustige ligging en het fantastische uitzicht. De eigenaar was heel behulpzaam en heeft ons heel goed geholpen toen de autoverhuurder het liet afweten.

Très agréable séjour

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour. La maison est très belle, les chambres sont immenses et nous avons particulièrement aimé l'environnement calme, et la belle vue sur les champs (magnifiques couchers de soleil) et la piscine. Très bonne communication avec le propriétaire. Le village de la Romieu à quelques kms est très joli. Voiture indispensable. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Maison avec confort limité dans bel environnement

La maison est isolée au calme avec une très belle vue et un beau jardin bien entretenu. La maison a un pigeonnier mais l'accès en est interdit. Elle est ancienne, froide et humide. Elle dispose du chauffage central mais vous ne pouvez en bénéficier. Pour se chauffer, 2 chauffages "gadgets", cube d'une quinzaine de cm bien insuffisant pour chauffer n'importe quelle pièce. Seule solution s'il fait froid, un poële à bois dans une des pièces. Pas de sèche-linge. La maison a un système d'alarme (+ caméras de surveillance) mais vous ne pouvez l'utiliser, à vous de fermer la trentaine de volets quand vous quittez la maison. La cuisine est d'un autre âge, avec des meubles sentant le renfermé et des tiroirs en bois ne s'ouvrant qu'avec difficulté. S'il fait chaud, la voile au-dessus la terrasse est bien insuffisante pour prendre ses repas à l'extérieur le soir, plus d'ombre dès 17h.

La vraie maison de famille avec vue imprenable !

Nous venons de passer 15j vraiment très agréables correspondant aux critères que nous recherchions : maison de famille typique, en pleine nature, avec une jolie vue sur la campagne Gersoise. Nous en garderons un excellent souvenir et recommanderons vivement cette location !

Fabulous House in Fabulous Region

Forget about Provence with its chic reputation. The South West of France is the real thing. Although we have lived in France several times and have toured all over the country for decades, we had never been to the Gers (pronounced Gerz) nor any part of the South West. What an eye-opener. This is the way France was back in the 60's when we first began our love affair with our second country. And this house happens to be the BEST one we have ever rented. It is especially well situated on a hill overlooking rolling fields of hay, sunflowers and corn. Although the sun raised the temperature to 90+ F. during the days, the nights were cool enough to use sheets and covers in bed. The house's 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are large and comfortable. All the appliances are top notch and work well without any anxiety about using them. There are even 2 refrigerators, one for food and the other for drinks. The owners are very accommodating and were in immediate phone or e mail contact with us if we had a question about anything. The nearest town, La Romieu, has a UNESCO marked Collegiale church from the 14th century which is a fabulous site to visit. The town has a wonderful boulangerie with excellent bread and pastries and also a small epicerie and wine store combined. There are two restaurants, one of which also serves as the town's bar/café. There is also a very good tennis court run by the local camping grounds for the public and is inexpensive. The house's pool is large and the water was warm due to the hot days. We shared the house with our daughters, their husbands and grandchildren, a total of 8 but were very comfortable because of the size of the rooms. There is plenty of room for parking and the house is about 25 minutes away from major towns with markets and supermarkets (Condom, Fleurance and Lectoure) and 30 minutes from 3 towns with the Most Beautiful Villages In France award (Montreal, Larressingles and Fources.) Two weeks was not enough time to spend here and we look forward to returning soon.

We loved it

We -two families from England and Germany (4 adults, 5 boys from age 2 to 13) spent two perfect weeks at the house. The photos are reality. The property is beautifully situated within sunflower fields, the sunset is just in front of the house, so sunset-dinner outside on the big table was just perfect. We spent our days mostly with having Barbecue, eating outside, playing with the Kids, jumping into the pool, once in a while exploring villages and cities within one-hour drive. (Capital of Gascogne Auch is nice!) The house is spacious and very well equipped. The pool was perfectly warm, most of our time we spent in it. It has an electrical cover for the night or when not in use, which was perfect for the safety of the little ones. The village La Romieu is 4 km away (so you must have a car). It is a beautiful village. Big supermarkets are in Condom (also a nice gascoign city, 10 min-drive). We rented this house,, because we were looking for a spacious comfortable place, situated in a beautiful landscape, where nobody would bother us and the children could play freely. We found it. So we all nine recommend a stay here, if you are searching for the same. It surely is also perfect for people who love hiking. Altogether: 5 star recommendation
