Le Buron de Champanouse (sleeps 4–6)

In the heart of the Margeride region, a fully restored traditional buron awaits you for an unforgettable vacation. A “buron” is a stone building found in the middle of high-altitude pastures. It was used to house cheese-making operations and to provide lodging for the buronniers. Today, the Buron de Champanouse welcomes vacationers who love nature and tranquility. To explore the surrounding landscapes, the owners offer you the option to rent 2 electric mountain bikes and 3 standard mountain bikes. On the first floor: An open-concept kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer), a dining area, and a sitting area. A laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. A separate bathroom and toilet. Upstairs: a mezzanine with a sofa bed, a bedroom with a 140-cm bed, a bedroom with two 90-cm beds and a sofa bed. A separate toilet. Baby equipment available upon request (crib + accessories). To be paid at the time of booking: sheet rental available: 8€/person; linens: 5€/person. End-of-stay cleaning service available: 80€. Electric heating. Pellet stove; the first bag is free, then 6€ per bag to be paid on site. Unfenced property with a patio featuring patio furniture and a barbecue. Pets allowed; 3€ per night per pet to be paid on site. Rates include electricity consumption up to 10 kWh per day. During the winter, when there is snow, access to the cottage by car is impossible. You must therefore park in the neighboring village and walk or use snowshoes (provided by the owners) for the last kilometer.
