This is our third stay at Beachside for my sister and myself being so close to the beach and nature reserve and ideal for watching those beautiful sunsets.Easy reach for shops Hunstanton ,Sandringham ,Lavender fields and the lovely Brancaster Staithe and eating places within easy reach .Easy to contact owner if required We love Norfolk Brian and Eileen
We had a lovely, relaxing few days at Beachside. It was as described and very clean and well equipped. Communication with David, the host was very clear and timely. Would highly recommend it.
Fabulous cosy lodge literally a few steps from the beach. So quiet and peaceful.Great communication from David prior to arrival. It was everything we hoped it would be and more.
Beachside is extremely well located in a lovely part of Norfolk. Bus service is extremely good, frequent departures to most areas. Abundant wildlife, saw a seal the on edge of the sea at South Beach. Great walk to Hunstanton along beach. The road servicing Beachside is in a poor condition, difficult access unless driving an SUV or four wheel drive. This was our fifth stay at Beachside over a four year period. .
I stayed for a week with my 12 year old twins and my 11 year old son. The weather for the first part of the week was amazing and we enjoyed the easy and close location to the beach. The beach house itself was well appointed and had everything we needed for a mini break. David the owner was very helpful and Iâd recommend the house to anyone wanting a cozy family house near the beach.
My sister travelled 5,000 miles from Canada and brought various members of the family, to share a holiday together. In total we had a party of 10, and having the two properties together was ideal. Our age range was 2-70,and it was ideal. A very peaceful location, lots of lovely walks
Once again we have had a very relaxing stay at Beachside.
By choice we ignore TV and computer and enjoy the excellent scenery and accommodation.

A fabulous stay in a lovely property. The owners were helpful and communication was swift and easy. The property is exactly as described. I was lucky with the weather so maximised on my opportunity to walk the stunning coastal paths in North Norfolk. The property is a perfect base to return to. It was very quiet (other than the glorious birdsong!) and felt like a home from home. I will return.
We love this place and look forward to returning
Always spotless...has everything you need.
David the host is always available and checks in with you to ensure all is ok
Its a Little Gem
The hosts were great with contact from start to finish. We arrived to find a cake and some milk, which was a thoughtful touch, and they checked in with us to make sure we had found the place too. The location is perfect; really close to the beach but also there's a river at the back of the lodge where you can sit on a swing and watch the birds for hours. My daughter loved it and loved feeding the birds too. The place was spotless. Beds were so comfy too. We will hopefully be back!
Splendid little lodge. Good heaterâs, perfect for the terrible weather we unfortunately had. We could turn them up when the gale was blowing and the hail came, then down again when the sun did decide to show.
We still had a lovely time and managed some bird watching by the river and talking to the ducks!
The beach was great, we even got a good sunset one evening.
The lodge had everything we needed and felt spacious in the main room.
David was very helpful with the booking as we are not good with computers.
This is the fourth time we have stayed at this property, so we like it very much. It is well equipped and brilliantly located with very easy access to the beach, about a 50 meter walk and no roads to cross, and has the River Heacham behind it. The sunsets over the sea can be spectacular and the river has abundant wildlife. This time we saw a barn owl hunting just beyond the river. The walk along the beach to Hunstanton is well worth the effort. Access by car and bus to all of the beautiful North Norfolk coast is simple. Everywhere on this coastline is spectacular.
Lovely clean, warm, bright property. We stayed in October and were very comfortable. Fabulous location, very close to the beach - On a quiet, private road full of character. Very easy check in. Great communication with hosts. We would definitely holiday here again.
The property was perfect! Just as described but sort of better, everything was great quality and worked without issue. As with every new place you stay it may take a couple of moments to work something out and at those moments, David, the owner was always really quick to answer any queries.
The chalet was perfectly located with just one large sand dune between you and the sea. When the sun shone in the afternoons you could have the double French doors open (sea facing), the sun would reach you on the sofa and you could hear the waves lapping.
Heacham beach is currently marked as being a polluted beach ~ one of only 2 across the eastern region coast. It was a bit sad to have to avoid swimming there but beaches just around the corner have the blue flag. And, itâs important that people widely put pressure on peers that be to stop polluting the waterways ~ so it made me feel ironically more attached to Heacham beach. And despite the rating of water quality the wildlife here is immense, birdwatchers paradise as the long beach when the tide is out is filled with a huge array of sea birds.
Overall brilliant. The sea is glorious here, with dramatic tides, phenomenal sunrises and sunsets. The beach is a beach combers heaven too with pools and shells and stones and sand.
David, the host, couldnât have been more helpful and the chalet was beautiful. I will certainly book again if theyâll have me :)
My wife and I stayed at Heacham (South Beach) north Norfolk in a bungalow-style building and my nephew, his wife and three delightful young boys were in the one next door. Both properties owned by David and Claire Johnson who have been lovely to communicate with from start to finish.
Both properties are well-equipped and we were impressed by those items that usually fail to impress in these holiday homes - the shower, for example, was excellent; good fridge with an ice compartment; lovely bedding; good cooker etc. Best of all is the location with a pathway over the dunes and onto the beach just 30 yards from our door. This led to many interludes with the boys paddling, frisbee throwing and best of all flying our ancient box kite along the beach. A short drive away is a local supermarket, Jennings, with everything you could possibly need in terms of food/drink/supplies etc.
Also within a short drive - the superb beach at Brancaster, the holiday town fun of Hunstanton and the Norfolk Lavender operation. This was a memorable, traditional seaside holiday in good accommodation and a perfect location with excellent information provided by our hosts.
We had a great stay at beachside. We couldn't of asked for more . So nice and quiet and the children loved the ducks and swings in the garden. We'll definitely stay again
Our second time staying at this lovely beach lodge just a couple of minutes walk from Heacham beach. Lovely light modern lodge, comfortable accommodation, well laid out with everything you need for a holiday.
We have stayed here before and the accommodation is ideal if you want to leave the car and walk the coastline.
However, there is a good bus service to Hunstanton, the North Coast and adjacent places. Another lovely holiday.
Thank you.
