As you pull into the Hamilton Cay neighborhood, part of the Bermuda Bay community, you may wonder if you took a wrong turn somewhere and found your way to a Caribbean Island. Bright and vibrant hues all around are reminiscent of the colors of Bermuda. They provide a fabulous first impression of your Outer Banks vacation community. The soothing water feature and oversized patios with water views welcome you to Hamilton Cay.

Each member of your family will find something to love as a guest of this wonderful resort. The Bermuda Bay community is widely known for enjoying sunset viewing and quiet vacationing. The exclusive amenities available to you as a guest of this wonderful resort include a lazy river, sparkling pools, a fun splash pad with various water features lots of fun toys, and plenty of sun loungers for relaxing. The Elbow Beach Clubhouse includes a fitness center, lounge area, pool table, and a full bathroom for guest use. The clubhouse and fitness center are open year-round from 7:00am to 9:00pm. The Bay has a pier perfect for fishing, launching kayaks, or just enjoying the view.

If you're longing to feel the sand in your toes and simply must visit the beach, it's a very convenient 1-mile drive from the Bermuda Bay communities to the beautiful Kill Devil Hills beaches. At Milepost 8.25, the community is wonderfully convenient to all the incredible shopping, dining, activities and attractions that make the Outer Banks the ever-popular vacation destination it is. The community is just across the street from the famed Wright Memorial.

With beautiful water views and an expansive patio to enjoy them, you will love this spacious 1-level vacation condominium. Two bedrooms and two baths make this is an ideal property for a small family or friends traveling together. The front entry foyer boasts a second distinct living area, with a sofa, chair and flat screen TV. Enjoy some quiet time here as you curl up with a book or your iPad.

As you enter the great room, you will smile because it's obvious that you've made the right choice for your Outer Banks vacation. Soothing sage walls and a comfy sofa invite you to sink in and relax as your time to unwind begins. The flat screen TV offers the promise of fun movie nights. Access the private patio through the living area. What a tranquil spot to enjoy your morning coffee or tea.

The richly appointed kitchen has beautiful wood cabinets, white appliances and a cool tile floor. The breakfast bar with 4 bar stools is a great spot to catch up and enjoy a laugh with friends or family. The dining area, just behind the kitchen features a lovely wood table with seating for 6. It's the perfect spot to enjoy the chef's culinary masterpieces together as a group. After all, vacation is about coming together, slowing down and reveling in the company of our families and friends, right?

You may have to draw straws to see who gets the lovely King En Suite. The private bath features double sinks and a stall shower. This suite also has balcony access with plenty of comfy furniture. The additional Queen bedroom uses the hall bath with a tub/shower.

Hamilton Cay features community elevators for your ease and convenience and of course, access to all the fantastic amenities in the Bermuda Bay community.

**The Bermuda Bay community private outdoor community pools and/or waterpark play areas are available, weather permitting, beginning on weekends only (Friday to Sunday) May 1 to May 17. Beginning May 22, the pool will be open daily and close on October 1 for the season. Please know that pool operating dates are subject to change at any point, for any reason.**

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

Some hiccups, but overall great vacation

I wish there had been more direction about the property. Due to a flight delay, we got in late at night. It was past 11 pm when we arrived at the property. For The life of me I could not find how to get into the unit. The garage to the unit was obvious as it was well lit up but there were no key pads associated. It was really late and we were exhausted from traveling all day. We ended up driving to a hotel and paying to stay there the night because we were desperate for sleep. I called the associated phone number but the associate could only tell me the info that had been given to her about the unit. She reported it was a ground unit(which is not true). The next AM, in the light of day I found that the entrance to the unit was on the 2nd floor. The next issue was the internet/TV. It wouldnt work. I again called For help and someone came out right away. After more than an hour, it was fixed. That lasted about a day and a half and then it was out for the rest of our stay. That was kind of a bummer because we like to unwind with a little tv before bed. Lastly , there was directions to take the trash out to the parking lot before checking out. However, there were no trash bins in the parking lot. I wish there had been more directions and details in the welcome email. We figured out on our own where the pool was. There was also a “pier access code” on the welcome email but I have no idea what that was for. Despite these issues, we actually had a good vacation.

OBX Getaway

My family and I stayed at this property August 20-26, 2023. The condo was immaculate and had everything we needed. The location was perfect! Right in the center of all the action and close for a day trip to Corolla or Hatteras. We spent our time exploring the Outer Banks, lounging by the pool, enjoying the beach and playing games. We all loved our stay and would highly recommend this property. We hope to go back in the future!

Anniversary trip

The place was great. The bed was very comfortable and master bath was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, mixer, bowls etc. My only suggestion is there is a huge stain on the sofa. You notice it right away and the rug needs to be replaced, its not dirty, is stained though, but the tack strips dig into you feet wen you go into master bath and laundry room. Overall, place was great, location was great and the pool was really nice.

My stay was very nice , disappointed in the pool area because of covid with no chairs available ,could had informed us to bring our own chairs . Other than that online service was great , carpets could have been cleaner for such a nice place.

Great Stay!

This condo was everything we needed and so much more. It was so clean and roomy. It was a short trip to the beach and right in the center of everything we wanted to do on our short stay! We had a great time during our first trip to the Outer Banks and when we come back, I will definitely want to stay here again!

Great location and nice place

This was a great place to stay, with a perfect location to beaches and the main road for anything you need. We had an amazing time and the only glitch was not being able to locate the proper guest services to rent the kayaks and bikes. We went to a regular kayak rental place, which worked out fine.

Unacceptable Conditions

Upon arrival we walked into a dirty home with spaghetti sauce on the floor, table and counters. The couch was covered in spaghetti sauce and noodles and outside was a half smoked joint on the porch. We had to call several times for someone to come and when she did, she just brought extra towels, took the marijuana with her, and did not clean anything. I have requested part of our money back. I will never stay there again.

Wonderful Location in Kill Devil Hills.

We had a great time at this property! Location is great as it is near almost everything. The pool was perfect with plenty of seating & the water slide was great for all ages. The house states sleeps 4 (as a max) but can easily sleep 6-8 because of the two pull out couches they have. The house was stocked with most items needed to cook, however there was no salt or pepper so we had to buy it and ended up leaving it for the next renters. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely rent from Kees Vacation again!

Nice condo at OBX

The interior of this condo was very nice and had plenty of room for our family. The exterior of the entire complex is dirty and a little run down. The pool was fun for the kids. This condo is located on the sounds side but in the heart of shopping and dining areas.

Great space!

A cozy place and great location. Upon walking in the door the condo was clean and open and bright. The carpets looked new and the living room was extremely comfy. There was ample storage and the rooms are a nice size. So convenient that every bath has hand soap and shampoo/conditioner receptacles. The community is quiet and off the beaten path. We loved having the views of the pond outside and rode our bikes to the beach. The Keurig in the kitchen was a treat! The only reason we didn't give it a 5 was that on the website were a few issues we ran into following check in. The website listed there was a DVD player. We were bummed that on our last night we picked up a movie and take out and got home to find there was no DVD to be found. We also found that KEES was great leading up to check in, but then we had a hard time getting KEES to respond in a timely manner after check in. We had questions about check in that never got resolved (ie- never found garage opener to store our bikes, couldn't find trash shute, and needed linens). Overall a great stay and we would recommend to others!

Nice Location, not so nice neighbors above us

First impressions were that this is a nice condo. The unit was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The garage was another story. It had a moldy, rotten smell from an old refrigerator which was unplugged and left in the garage. We aired out the garage but could not get rid of the smell. When we arrived, we did have a few minor repairs needed, The balcony was filthy, the laundry door was off the track, light bulb burnt out in Master bath, a sliding glass door that "screamed-like finger nails on a chalk board" and a wasp nest on the balcony. A call to Home Away and the repairman was out that day. Repairs were not made, although the repairman tried. The light bulb was replaced and the wasp net sprayed, but not removed. The condo above us was also rented by a family that had a very large dog (well over the 60# limit). The family left the dog out on the balcony when they were away and overnight. The dog barked on a regular basis through out the day and night, which precluded us from having the sliding glass door open at night. Keep in mind that the balcony's were constructed of 2" x 6" floor boards that were spaced 1/4" apart. Every time this dog pee'd, it ran between the boards and on to our balcony. How very disgusting!! If you rent in this condo complex, verify that there are no dogs above you!
