Tom is a great host at his bnb. Very welcoming. Helpful with suggestions for places to eat and visit. He made plenty offers of tea or coffee. The guest lounge is a nice touch - allows you to relax like you're in your own home. The breakfast was good; well prepared with plenty to eat. I'd definitely stay at Tom's place, the Ardmore House.

Tom was very friendly and check-in was easy. Short walk to a very nice quaint town that wasn’t all tourist you. Nice breakfast too! It worked for our needs!

Great place real close to an amazing town!
Perfect spot! Right on the ring of Kerry on a quite cul da sac walking distance to Kenmare with plenty of restaurants, pubs and shopping. Amazing breakfast! The owner been doing this for a while he knows what's good! We will definitely be there next trip.

Interesting town
Picked Kenmare for its access to the peninsular drives but the town itself is good to walk around and explore. Good shops and lots of eateries.

Ardmore house in kenmare
It was a great stay. The host, Tom, does a great job. Great advice on area touring that saved a lot of time and headaches. Location is right in kenmare and only a short distance to downtown. You can start the ring of Kerry right from here. Food was good. Nice Irish breakfast. Location is quiet as it is on a cul-de-sac.

Our host was very nice, home well kept. The room was clean and specious and the wifi worked better than most places. I do wish the shower had more pressure but other than that it’s a great place to stay. I recommend it

Best stay in Ireland
Tom was a very nice and kind host. He greeted us as soon as we arrived and got us a pot of tea to warm up. He recommended an amazing place to eat and also made sure we knew the best way to tour the ring of Kerry. Not only was tom amazing but the rooms were clean and cozy. Also this b and b was just a 8 minute walk to town and was the perfect place to stay to start the ring of Kerry the next day. Tom made us a traditional Irish breakfast in the morning before we left. I wish we could have spent more time in Kenmare.

Great place just outside the busy town. Easy walk back to restaurants. Spacious and comfy room. Wonderful host Tom looks after your every need. Lots of sheep grazing outside the breakfast room! Delightful

Sweet and helpful owner, close to city center
The owner was so nice and helpful and provided great advice on the best way to do the Ring of Kerry. Breakfast was a delicious traditional Irish breakfast with a nice view of the mountains. Room was clean and comfortable. Close to city center (couple minutes drive). Only complaint was that there was no heat so we were freezing at night.

Tom was a wonderful host! The room was lovely and the traditional Irish breakfast was outstanding! It was a great location and within walking distance to town. Great stay!!

Charming B&B with great hospitality.
We had a great stay here. Tom showed us great hospitality, welcoming us on a cool evening with hot tea. It is a short walk from town with very reasonable rates. We would stay again.

Tom the landlord was very welcoming and hospitable. We were in Ireland for a family wedding and he even gave us a lift to the church as it was raining-would recommend Ardmore House to stay if you are looking for value for money.

Das Haus liegt ganz in der Nähe der Hauptstraße,die durch Kenmare geht.Mit dem Auto ist die Stadt schnell erreichbar. Das Parken in der Stadt war kein Problem.Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich. Außer den Zimmern gab es einen wunderbaren Aufenthaltsraum, den wir abends immer nutzten.Die Zimmer sind praktisch eingerichtet, nur unser Bad war sehr sehr klein.Alles war immer sauber und wir hatten jeden tag frische Handtücher.Jeden Morgen bekamen wir von Tom ein irisches Frühstück zubereitet, das war unser Wunsch und sehr lecker.Da es hier sehr viel geregnet hat, gab er uns viele Tipps für Unternehmungen.

I only have positive comments about this B & B. Comfortable room, delicious breakfast and welcoming host. Breakfast is served in a large room with a beatiful view of the country side. It really adds charm to the experience of visiting Kenmare.

Nice enough stay
The decor and furniture is a bit outdated, but it's clean enough. Cobwebs to be found in corners, but nothing drastic. Clean linen, floors, and shower, which are the important things. Nice man who runs it. Google maps has the wrong location, it's just inside of Kenmare, and you turn on the road that's just across the street from the Topaz station and you'll find it at the end of the short road there.

Die Zimmer waren alt, unsauber, abgewohnt. Der Fußboden hatte Flecken. Die Bettwäsche war unsauber. Die Dusche nicht nutzbar. Der Geruch im Haus und im Zimmer war "muffig" und alt. Ein Fernseher auf dem Kleiderschrank in der Größe 30 X 30 cm. Das Frühstück wäre uns bei dem Geruch im Hals stecken geblieben. Wir haben 20 km weiter in einem Hotel für 20 € / P. gefrühstückt.

Das Ardmore House liegt sensationell zwischen Ring of Beara und Kerry. Was leider nicht angezeigt wird: auch ins Zentrum von Kenmare kommt man sehr einfach und auf einem sicheren Fußweg entlang der Straße in 5 Minuten. Das Haus liegt in zweiter Reihe zur Hauptstraße und ist damit sehr ruhig. Beim Frühstück kann man zu zwei Seiten auf entspannende Schafweiden schauen. Das Ardmore ist ein sehr traditionelles B&B, um den Begriff "alt" zu vermeiden. Alles ist in einem guten, gepflegten Zustand, aber halt nicht modern. Der Hausherr achtet einfach sehr auf Haus und Garten und hat auch immer einen Tipp für den nächsten Ausflug parat. Kenmare selbst ist ein netter, überschaubarer Ort mit schönen Pubs und Restaurants. Wir empfehlen für das abendliche Guinness das Foley's in der Henry Street. Ab 21:30 gabs bei uns (Donnerstag und Freitag) beste Livemusik mit Pat!
