Beautiful 120 year old home in downtown Kansas City.

The home was built in 1900 and lovingly restored into a 3 unit apartment complex. This unit is the entire 3rd floor of the house. There are a total of 30 steps to the apartment entrance.
Havilah Home is located within minutes of great downtown KC locations like Crossroads Arts District, Power and Light District, Union Station, and the National WWI Memorial. Located in the historic Longfellow Heights neighborhood just a few blocks from Union Hill and Martini Corner.

Great property if you like an old home feel. The home was very nicely decorated and the hosts provided some nice touches to welcome us. As mentioned in other reviews, the inside stairs are very steep. Traveling in Kansas City was a breeze with map apps on your phone, otherwise might be difficult.

Nick and Rachel were very communicative. Our stay was very comfortable and accommodating. The neighborhood is beautiful! It is centrally located with just short uber rides to get to all of our destinations. The unit itself was clean, welcoming, and met all of our needs. It has a vintage feel that worked so well in the space. There are small touches all around to make it feel like a home. I highly recommend this property!

Sooo cute!! I want to move in! Be warned there are lots of stairs and quite steep so if you have bad knees it may not be for you. Wish that was mentioned in the listing. Hosts were great! Easy to reach and nice. They even left me a bottle of wine! And I loved the amenities in the bathroom.

Perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. All of the amenities were there, very clean, very comfortable. Hosts gracefully accommodated our late check out request. Lots of parking and easy to access with roads. Great restaurants within walking distance. Loved the retro decor!

Overall, a good stay. Bed was comfortable. Couch was not. Air conditioning was very good on hot days. Plenty of room for a couple. T.V. and selections available were great. Coffee maker not so good (Very small). No dish towels that we could find. Communication was very good and fast. Location was very quiet and felt safe. Fan/lights with remote were awesome. I would recommend this place.

Very cozy place. I don't know KC very well but it seemed like we were close to everything. Quiet neighborhood, the only thing we could hear were the cicadas and birds. Loved it. This place is furnished with everything you need and more.

The hosts provided excellent communication. The check in process was easy - a code to the door was provided days before arrival. The hosts checked in peridoically to see what we needed - but everything we could need was already accounted for. The house is old, but the rooms were well-kept and nicely furnished. The room was cool and comfortable, even during 95 degree weather. The only potential concern were the stairs - we had no issue, they were safe and well-lit, but for guests with modbility issues, just know that there are several flights of stairs up to the room entrance. I don't believe there is an elevator.

This Vrbo unit was on the third floor of a 120 year home. This spacious unit was rich in amenities: dish washer, washer and dryer combo, garbage disposal and everything else you would expect in a well equipped Vrbo. We loved the location. Large tree lined streets with beautiful old homes as old as this unit.

Historical 3rd-Floor Charmer

We really enjoyed the property. The private side entrance was nice because we knew we weren't disturbing anyone while coming and going. The apartment was clean and decorated very nicely, and the amenities were ample. The hosts were very responsive. The best part was that we were in the middle of everything we wanted to do. We very seldom took the highway and instead drove on the thoroughfares/artery streets to get from midtown to downtown or uptown or KCKS quickly. The steps are significant, but carpeted and manageable with sturdy railings. Thank you, Nick and Rachel. We definitely look forward to staying at your 120-year old historical charmer again!

We enjoyed staying at this quaint apartment while in Kansas City. It was as advertised, creatively decorated, unique, and memorable. This was such a a great place to stay! The unit has a cozy, retro, and antique vibe. The bed was comfortable and clean. There were plenty of towels and wash cloths. The hosts were in contact via messages and responded quickly. We had no issues with finding the home or parking. The location is fantastic for getting anywhere in downtown quickly! I will note that this unit has some pretty steep stairs to climb. We had no problem with that, but if you have mobility issues it could be difficult to access. We loved it so much and would absolutely come back for another visit!
