The rental started out chaotic due to the fact that there is major construction going on in front of the house & along the entire street. It took about 20 minutes to find the house due to detours & road closures. Evidently, the construction has been going on for months & is planned through the end of 2026. However, the owner neglected to let me know or provide alternate directions. The construction begins daily at 7:00 with the big machinery (dump trucks, bulldozers, excavators, etc) starting up at 7:30. When the heavy equipment starts up or drives past the house, the house shakes, then there is the noise from the street scraping and “back up beeping.”After finding the alleyway to the back of the house, there is no entry. You have to walk around the house to the front, as the only way in is thru the front door. Unfortunately, there is no sidewalk, only a few stepping stones that go about half way from back to front so you are walking in wet grass due to sprinklers and rain and/or hail. We had both, it is Montana! The quaintness of this house is ruined due to the old mismatched furniture, competing rugs & clashing curtains. Any upgrades were done with the cheapest materials. Further, the upstairs bathroom has half of a curtain & a full clear liner held up by a few curtain rings. I think this could be updated by spending about 30.It is a good location with warm comforters but, at this price point, I would consider other rental options.
