Geckos—long thought to be a smaller incarnation of the great lizard Mo’o—are considered to be ‘aumakuas: deified, ancestral spirits that are often manifested as animals. But aside of this, they are of great help in the regular home as they are harmless and will help with the not so friendly bugs you might find around while trying to just live your life. Geckos are a great ally to the hawaiian lifestyle.
