  • Ruim drie slaapkamer cottage aangrenzende herenhuis met een hoge ommuurde tuin en toegang direct op de rivieroever. Het huisje heeft een slaapkamer op de begane grond met een tweepersoonsbed een eenpersoonsbed, een woonkamer, badkamer en onlangs gerenoveerde keuken. Boven zijn er twee slaapkamers een met een tweepersoonsbed en kinderbed, een met een tweepersoonsbed en een stapelbed, plus een andere badkamer. Het huisje heeft een satelliet-tv, wasmachine, vaatwasser, barbecue, beddengoed wordt verstrekt. De locatie is perfect - rustig aan de rand van Josselin naast de rivier, maar toch binnen 5 minuten lopen van het centrum van de stad, de bakker en de winkels, bars en restaurants. De imposante kasteel ligt op slechts een wandeling langs de rivier en vanaf daar is gemakkelijk toegang tot de houtskeletbouw middeleeuwse centrum met historische Basicila. Tours (in het Engels) zijn beschikbaar voor zowel. Tien minuten weg bij het Lac au Duc kunt u watersporten en een 9 holes golfbaan. Paardrijden en fietsen en bootverhuur zijn allemaal beschikbaar in de buurt. Het is ook zeer geschikt voor wandelingen.

Comfortable gite, with nice gardens, and coveniently placed.

Very comfortable, lovely host, beautiful 10 minute walk along the riverside to the centre of Josselin, which is a pretty town, with plenty of historical interest and a choice of restaurants

Relax in Josselin

Quiet and relaxing with easy walking along the Brest Canal, lots of benches to sit on and watch the world go by, before walking up to the chateau and restaurants. Great!

Very spacious cottage

A large property in a good location with easy access to the beautiful town of Josselin and the river for peaceful walks. Great parking. The cottage is well equipped but is a little “tired”. The weather was not good when we were there and we found the cottage a bit cold, though heaters were available. Two large trees outside the kitchen did block the light, sunshine and view of the garden which I thought was a pity. However, we enjoyed our stay and Joyce, our host, was lovely and nothing was too much trouble, it was a pleasure to have met her.

Gezellige woning in Josseline met hartelijke gastvrouw

Mooi huisje met gezellige tuin. Een vakantie op zijn Frans is de omschrijving die het van ons meekrijgt. Het huis is goed uitgerust, alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Hartelijk onthaal en de nodige info. We hebben een heel goed en rustig verblijf gehad. Joyce helpt je indien je vragen hebt en staat steeds voor je klaar. Wel voor mensen die van dieren houden. Er zijn 2 honden en enkele katten aanwezig, deze dringen zich echter niet op. Ze gaven onze vakantie een extra warm entourage. Er is veel te zien en te doen in de omgeving, een auto is wel nodig. We waren er 14 dagen en hebben ons geen moment verveeld.

Tres bon emplacement

La location est tres bien situee a 10 mns du centre de Josselin et a proximite du canal de l'Oust. Joyce est tres accueillante et nous a permis de passer un tres bon sejour.

Ce serait parfait , si ...

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans la maison de Joyce, qui est une hôtesse agréable, discrète mais attentive. Il est très agréable de rejoindre la ville en longeant le canal et le jardin est plaisant. La cuisine est bien aménagée, la maison a été repeinte et retapissée. Mais cela ne suffit pas à gommer l'odeur de moisi dû à l'humidité, la maison n'a aucune étanchéité et les huisseries ont beaucoup vieilli. Heureusement, il a fait beau et chaud, et nous avons beaucoup été dehors. La literie est de qualité inégale et il manque des stores occultants aux fenêtres de toit. Enfin, vilaine surprise à notre retour en découvrant le relevé de notre compte bancaire; le paiement a été transformé en monnaie anglaise, nous avons donc dû payer les frais de change. Nous aurions aimé en être avertis à l'avance .

Außen etwas hui, innen...

Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett, allerdings ist die Unterkunft ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, nicht wirklich sauber und sehr kalt!! Einzig der Elektroofen in der Küche sorgte für etwas Wärme. Im Sommer ist der Garten eine Möglichkeit, sich aufzuwärmen. Insgesamt leider nicht zu empfehlen 🤷‍♀️

Lovely house in lovely area.

Stayed for nine days at this property. It’s a lovely house attached to the owners house, the location is perfect, just a short walk, along the most picturesque canal, takes you into the town. The large garden at the house is lovely and peaceful. The owner is a lovely lady, she is very welcoming and always happy to help with any enquiries you might have, she is very knowledgeable of the area, and she is very happy to share her knowledge. We definitely plan to go back next year. Jackie

Beautiful house and location

We loved the house and the location, by the river and within a beautiful walking distance from lovely Josselin. The garden was wonderful. The house is like your grandmother's house, full of character, but it does need a little bit of refreshing and a good scrub. Great communication with Joyce.

Cadre très agréable

Maison parfaitement située pour un séjour au calme et près de la nature avec possibilité d'aller à pieds en ville facilement. La cuisine très bien équipée. Très grand jardin, ballades au bord de l'eau. L'hôte est très charmante.

Ideal location

Lovely walk to medieval town, the cottage is very quirky and old but homely. Joyce is a lovely and welcoming lady Due to my husbands disability he was unable to use either of the bathrooms so If the downstairs bath was changed to a shower we would love to come again

Agréable cottage

Une demeure tout à fait agréable où chacun peut avoir de l'espace. Le lieu est confortable même si la literie est un peu rustique. Grande cuisine très pratique pour cuisiner et un barbecue pour les grillades. Le jardin est grand et beau et permet de se poser à l'ombre ou au soleil. Et la proximité de Josselin permet de s'y balader facilement, en empruntant, si l'on veut, les cayaks du lieu. Les hôtes sont très sympathiques et permettent qu'on se sentent très à l'aise chez eux. Un cottage à recommander sans hésiter !

Amazing medieval town

We had a lovely week. The owner was delightful. The garden was large and beautiful and backed on to the river. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

perfect location

a very serene large garden, so quiet and restful, outside gate to Canal, very pleasant walk to Josselin, not far. This gite is attached to a grand house, Joyce is really lovely lady and helpful, if needed, otherwise leaves you in peace. The gite is roomy, homely and has everything you need. Very hot weather , so was outside till late. Four of us had a wonderful restful week, the location and area is beautiful.

Josselin cottage with access to towpath to town

The cottage was quirky, homely and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed the large garden, with direct access to the towpath into Josselin with its many restaurants and good weekly market. There is a good supermarket within five minutes easy drive for stocking up the large Miele fridge freezer. Joyce is a very nice lady who, whilst being on hand to help with any info required, did not intrude on our privacy at all. Her three large, but friendly dozy dogs and three cats were, as we are animal lovers, a pleasure to have around. The dogs were confined to the front of the house and could hardly be bothered to get up to greet us, and the cats though friendly, were easily deterred. None of the animals ever came into the cottage. We would comment on the one very adverse previous review that it was unduly harsh and unfair in our opinion.

Great Gite, the photos definitely don't do this Gite justice. The rooms we're clean and comfortable, and the cottage kitchen is a delight with everything you could need and there was always hot water.The walled garden is a delight, in fact we spent most of our time here, as the weather was fantastic. The host Joyce was very friendly and her knowledge of the area was invaluable.. The walk into Josselin along the canal path was pleasure. Infact with the 3 beautiful cats it was almost home from home. We will be going back, sooner rather than later.
