This was such a lovely and welcoming home! The hosts were so accommodating. We had a slight issue with the dishwasher that the hosts worked with our schedule as to not inconvenience us and had the issue resolved quickly. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, the kitchen island is so big it deserves its own zip code! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone.It is also a convenient location to so much. Just lovely!

First and foremost, I want to say how wonderful Brian, our host, responded and made everything perfect for our visit. The house was clean, had every appliance that we could use if we needed, location perfect to everything in town etc. His helpfulness was outstanding. Great home. Great location.

We had a wonderful time at this home. Our party of 8 adults had plenty of room to relax and spend time together. Everything about the home was great. The home had an extremely well stocked large kitchen. Large open living area with a comfortable sectional sofa and chairs. We also enjoyed the large screened back porch that had a ceiling fan and smart TV. We had access to 4 great bikes which we enjoyed riding around the island. We had access to beach chairs, umbrellas for shade and some very nice boogie boards which we enjoyed on the beach. Harris Teeter was right down the street as well as a great coffee shop. Wifi was fast and worked flawlessly. The AC worked great and would freeze you out if you wanted it to. We had 4 cars and had plenty of parking. I will absolutely stay here again if we come back to Amelia Island.

We had a great time at Buccaneer Bungalow. Brian is an amazing host. This home lacks nothing, has everything you need for a long or short stay. Utensils, pots, pans, blankets, pillows, dishes, towels, beach gear, bikes etc etc. The kitchen is wonderful, you will fall in love with the space! Huge back yard, and plenty of privacy but yet close to everything. His response time and communication was on point. If you come to the area book this home you will love it! Oh yeah and plenty of parking !!! Thanks for sharing your home with us Brian!

Great Amelia Stay

Great property near the beach and many good restaurants. The house is less than a mile from a good Harris Teeter grocery store. (I recommend the in store cooked and carved prime rib on Thursday night!) The house has a good backyard if you have a fur baby. Would recommend to anyone, especially family groups.

Girls Weekend

The house was the perfect size for our annual girls weekend! We appreciated the openness of the main living area and enjoyed the screened in porch. Location was close to beach, shopping and all the necessities. Brian was very responsive to our questions and checked in with us to make sure all was going well. I would highly recommend for anyone to stay here!

We were a group of four adults who enjoyed everything about the house and yard. It is clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. Even though on a 'main' road it is in a quiet area. We plan on staying there again.

Buccaneer Bungalow -- best VRBO experience we've ever had

We were on Amelia Island and the Jacksonville area for our son's wedding weekend. We needed a place that was easy to access, had all the amenities (and updated, nice amenities, I might add) and could accommodate 4-5 couples. Buccaneer Bungalow checked all those boxes and then some. First, the open kitchen leading into the open living room with plenty of seating and a huge kitchen island gave us a place to congreate in the mornings and at night -- perfect for big groups who want more time interacting. Just off the kitchen is the screen in patio. I'm the Dad of this group and had work to do, so the screened in patio was a perfect office space to get away but still see what's going on inside. The bathrooms/showers are relatively newly remodeled, so their big, bright and luxurious. Same with the kitchen and appliances.The location was great, too. We're runners and wanted to run on the beach in the mornings. I didn't measure the distance exactly, but there was an easy mile or so run through a neighborhood before we were on the beach. We got in 4 mile runs each morning and that's just about perfect for us. We are also eaters, and once again the location was great. We were just minutes drive from historic Fernandina Beach with all of its great restaurants and bars.Finally, the owner/manager/host Brian was outstanding. Not too much, not too little. As the title of this review says, this was the best rental experience ever.

Very special family reunion at a wonderful spot

We enjoyed our stay at Buccaneer Bungalow. We appreciated the number of spaces that were available for us to gather both inside and out the well appointed property. The Ping Pong table, barbeque, swing, games, firepit - all added to our family fun. We even used the bikes to ride along the beach. The spacious and open front room/ dining/ kitchen area was wonderful for our large gathering. Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes for eating. There was plenty of room for parking and easy accessibility to the beach and groceries. The owner was very responsive and considerate. The home provided a welcome for us all.

Tons of space!

Very well stocked, spacious and clean! Huge fenced in yard for the dog. Just my husband, myself and our dog so definitely a lot of space! So close to the beach,13 min from amazing restaurants and bars (and a few even closer ). Highly recommend!

Weekend with Old friends

The house worked well for 6 men who travel annually for a NFL football game. The Amelia Island location was terrific to enjoy the home, screened in porch, backyard and the very well appointed kitchen to cook. We were thrilled to be within a 20 minute walk to the Atlantic ocean and use the 4 beach bikes for those who preferred. The beach equipment - belly boards, chairs, etc. made it fun for all of us. In October we had the beach to ourselves even though it was 80+ degrees every day. We also enjoyed the more laid back vibe of Fernandina Beach with its restaurants and cocktail bars which are a short drive. Brian was an awesome host. Very responsive, helpful and willing to assist in any way. Thank you!!

Perfect getaway in a beautiful home

We loved our stay at Brian’s place in Amelia Island. It was immaculate and clean with everything you’d need during your stay. We loved the big open kitchen and spent every night on the sun porch. Close to everything and would love to stay here again in the future.
