This cozy and comfortable unit is one of two units located in a private home in a residential area on the Atlantic Ocean at Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island, Florida. These two units, on the first floor of this home, provide a quiet, restful atmosphere far from the noise and activity of hotel or condo vacations. --RRDP-001363-2019

The owners occupy the second floor, are available for any assistance, but are completely unobtrusive. The second unit in this home is a one bedroom and can be viewed at VRBO 300510. Rented together, eight guests can be accommodated.

Each unit has its own heating and cooling system, private entrance, exits, covered porches and decks.

This two bedroom unit's living room and master bedroom have oversized sliding glass doors which open to a private deck and ocean views. The ocean is a short walk down the private dune walkover. A hot and cold outdoor shower is also provided.

Both bedrooms have private baths. The master bath is equipped with a walk in shower and is accessible from both the master bedroom and the hallway. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and adjoining bath with Jacuzzi tub and full walk in shower. the second bathroom also includes the washer / dryer. A comfortable sofa in the living room is also a queen sleeper.

The kitchen has a pantry and spacious cabinets, new appliances, stove and oven, refrigerator with icemaker, microwave and dishwasher. Other amenities include: Wi-Fi access, all cooking and eating utensils, all bed and bath linens, DVD player, cable TV, and central heat & air conditioning and all beach supplies.

Amelia Island is home to the quaint and charming Historic Fernandina village, a step back in time to the Victorian Age, located only five miles from the beach house. Nearby activities include unique downtown shopping in the Historic District, a multitude and variety of restaurants, wildlife viewing, hiking, biking, golf, tennis, miniature golf, fishing, river sailing, horseback riding on the beach, cinemas, museums, shelling, and two local theatre groups. If you prefer day trips, Cumberland Island National Park is available by ferry to hike and view the wild horses and other wildlife or visit Ft George Island for a journey back in time to the Kingsley Plantation. You may also choose a day trip south to the oldest city in the nation, St. Augustine, Florida or north to historic Savannah, Georgia.

Fernandina Beach, on Amelia Island, is located only 40 minutes north of Jacksonville, Florida. Enjoy its 13 miles of pristine beaches, wonderful river and ocean views and the quiet, peaceful solitude of this beachfront home.
