2BR Retro Gaming Retreat | Near Stadium

Summary:

Stay in a classic video game themed apartment in Historic Springfield, near restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops. You’ll be assigned one of three 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartments themed after Pac Man, Legend of Zelda, or Kid Icarus, based on availability. The building has six apartments. Please note: the building is near a busy street, and the parking lot is relatively small.



The Space:

This is a "multi-unit" listing in a building with 6 apartments. At the moment we have 3 of them in this listing - all themed after classic 80s video games - Pac Man, Legend of Zelda, and Kid Icarus. If you have a preference please let us know! Our software automatically assigns you to one of the three of them. If you are the first one to book one of them during a specific period you can choose between them. If your preferred apartment is unavailable, our software will automatically assign you another available apartment.



Apt 3 - Pac Man (80s arcade themed - includes classic Pac Man standup arcade game)

Apt 4 - Legend of Zelda

Apt 6 - Kid Icarus (Greek themed)



Guests have access to the entire 2 BR / 1 BA apartment featuring luxury vinyl planking throughout the apartment except for the freshly retiled bathroom.



The primary bedroom features a King-sized bed bed complete with memory foam/spring hybrid mattress. Additionally, there are night stands, a TV and a closet with built in drawers / shelves for clothing - perfect for longer term guests.



The second bedroom features a Queen-sized bed with a memory foam/spring hybrid mattress, two nightstands, a TV, and a closet with built in drawers / shelves for clothing - perfect for longer term guests..



The living room includes a sleeper sofa, a wall-mounted Smart TV (which you can connect to your Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu accounts), and a kitchen table with four chairs.



The kitchen is stocked with utensils, a microwave, coffee system, toaster, refrigerator/freezer, oven/range, cooking utensils/cutlery, plates, bowls, and glasses.



We completely refreshed the bathroom to include a luxurious walk in shower, and a high end vanity. We provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner as well as bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths.



We have in unit washer/dryers that makes this apartment the perfect spot for longer term guests.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to their apt, the building's common areas, and a gated parking - limit 1 car per guest in the gated parking area due to its small size. If you would like to park a 2nd vehicle - please obtain permission prior to doing so. We charge $10 / day for a 2nd spot. We charge $20 / day for a 3rd spot. We can't accomodate more than 3 vehicles per apartment.



The Neighborhood:

Springfield is amazing! It is a diverse, vibrant, up and coming neighborhood located just north of Jacksonville's downtown. You'll initially fall in love with the gorgeous late 19th/early 20th century houses but you'll want to stay for the amazing people. Join a First Friday party, check out the weekly Main Street cruise, downtown's Art Walk, Porchfest if you're in town in the fall, or one of the yearly home tours.



A few recommendations:



Restaurants



The brand new (as of June 2019) String Sports Brewery is directly across the street from you. Their food is AMAZING and they brew their own beer on site. This is a gem/pride of the neighborhood and I'm sure you will love its mouth-watering dishes just as much as we do!!!



Crispy’s is a half block away and famous for delicious pizza and great pub food in general



Wafaa and Mike’s Cafe is 2-3 blocks to the south and known for delicious Mediterranean food



Uptown Kitchen and Bar is ~5 blocks to the south and perfect for delicious breakfast lunch and dinner - one of the most popular traditional



Tommy’s is approximately a half mile to the southeast and is known for Springfield’s famous $3 breakfast in a cup



Sweet Pete’s (as featured on MSNBC's "The Profit") is about 3/4 mile to the southwest for delectable brunch and sinfully delicious sweets; Pete also happens to be a historic Springfield resident so you may very well see him and his family walking their dog around the neighborhood



Coffee



Social Grounds coffee shop for the best (not joking - seriously amazing) locally roasted coffee in Jax



Drinks



String Sports Brewery - craft brewery directly across the street from you



Hyperion - craft brewery that is 1/2 block away



6th and Main - craft brewery that is 2 blocks away



Crispy's - fully stocked bar with lots of TVs for sports events, dart boards, and an upstairs area great for larger groups that is half a block away



Uptown Kitchen and Bar - fully stocked bar with TVs that are usually playing sports games that is a few blocks away on Main St



Getting Around:

Springfield is a great neighborhood for walking and biking!



Jacksonville's Skyway, with limited service around the Urban Core area is a half mile to the south and is co-located with Jacksonville's central bus station.



Ride sharing services are also great options as well and driving is preferable for areas well outside of central Jax (St Augustine, Brunswick, Gainesville, etc.)

To help ensure a smooth, secure, and enjoyable stay for all guests, please review the following important information before booking:



Check-In & Identity Verification Policy



All reservations require the primary guest (the booker) to complete a secure online check-in process prior to arrival. This includes:



-Uploading a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID

-Uploading a selfie to confirm identity

-Reviewing and signing our rental agreement



This process is similar to hotel check-in and is required because we do not typically have staff on site. Check-in instructions will only be provided once this process is complete.



If you would like to review the rental agreement before booking, please feel free to contact us.



In some cases, we may also request a security deposit and/or apply a damage waiver fee in accordance with booking channel policies.



* It typically takes ~1 hour to screen a guest after they book this property and could take several hours if we are busy before we are able to provide them with check-in information.



If you make a last minute reservation, we ask you to please be patient and please do not expect to gain access to the property immediately.



Guest Count & Occupancy Policy



Each listing includes a maximum number of guests based on unit type and local regulations. Additional guests are welcome for an added nightly fee:



-Studios & 1 bedroom units: $20 per guest, per night after 2 guests



Please ensure your guest count is entered accurately at booking. We will confirm the number of guests after reservation. If the guest count changes, pricing may be adjusted accordingly. For safety and compliance purposes, exterior security cameras are used to verify occupancy. Unreported additional guests may result in additional charges.



Pet Policy



This is a pet-friendly property. While our cleaning team is thorough, guests with severe pet allergies should be aware that dogs, cats, or other animals may have stayed in the space previously.



Pet fees:



$30 per night, per pet

$150 per week, per pet

$300 per month, per pet



Pet fees are included in the accommodation rate as long as you choose the appropriate quantity of pets when completing a booking. We confirm this with all guests post booking confirmation.



Local Reservation Policy



Reservations under 7 nights from guests residing in the local area may be subject to cancellation at our discretion. We handle exceptions on a case-by-case basis.



Early Check-In & Late Check-Out Policy



Early arrivals and late departures are not guaranteed and must be approved in advance. If approved, the following fees apply:



-Up to 1 hour: $50

-1–2 hours: $100

-2–3 hours: $150

-3+ hours: $200 or the cost of an additional night (whichever is greater)



Please do not assume availability without confirmation.



Smoking Policy



Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property, including indoor and outdoor areas. If evidence of smoking is found, an additional cleaning fee of $500 will be applied in accordance with the booking channel's cleaning and damage policies.



Special Request Policy



Requests for items such as pack-n-plays, high chairs, or other non-standard amenities should be submitted at least 7 days before check-in to ensure availability. Requests made closer to arrival will be accommodated if possible but cannot be guaranteed.

If you are a local guest booking for less than a week or under 25 years old, you may be subject to cancellation at our discretion. We handle exceptions on a case-by-case basis.



Interaction with Guests:

Our office is within a block of these apartments. We typically have someone on site from 9am to 5pm Mon-Fri and occasionally on weekends if you need assistance.
