The Good. The house was really beautiful, clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The location would have been excellent, except for.....The Ugly
The Bad. The Wifi connection did NOT work in about 80% of the house. Cell service on IOP is sketchy, so not having a consistent Wifi connection was frustrating. We called the property manager (Beachside Vacations ) who sent someone out. He was able to find another router that was somewhat better, but we had to switch between routers depending on where we were in the house. The trash was not picked up. We had 10 people staying in the house. So, by the end of the week the trash bins in the lower level were over flowing. Again, we called the PM and were told someone would come to collect the trash, but they never did. No instructions on how to use any of the amenities - TVs, Apple TVs, Sonos. We were able to figure most of it out, but the Sonos would only connect to outside zone. We called PM who came to look, but could only offer that the owner must not make the other zones available to guests. Not a big deal, but some instructions would have save everyone frustration and time.
The Ugly. The house just outside the fence between us and the beach is undergoing an extensive renovation. The noise level during the day was so bad you couldn't carry on a conversation if you were sitting by the pool. And, it ruined the view of the ocean from the upper decks. We would not have rented this house if we would have known about the construction. I think this should have been disclosed. Obviously, nothing can be done about it, but potential renters beware. It's noisy and ruins the view. If you have a reservation, I would check the status of the construction. It doesn't look like it would be done anytime soon.
Overall, I don't believe I received value for the price paid. I would consider renting here again AFTER the construction is complete. But, would also like to see the internet and Sonos issues addressed. An instruction sheet would have been very helpful.
