From here, we could watch the fireworks over Reykjavik at new years and we also saw the northern lights! Just remember that the check in is not at the cabbins, but in the hotel in town. There is also a small fridge in the room'

'West Rangá Lodge is located on a river close to Vik. It is renown for salmon fly fishing. We were only there for one night, but were able to see a fisherman catch a salmon. We went down the road to see the fish ladder that is used for the fish to climb in order to spawn. We enjoyed the clean room and amenities. Breakfast was delicious.'
