'We stayed in the Gothus apartment. Beautiful location right on the water. The town's attractions/stores are easily walkable. Appreciated the welcome basket that included a couple of adult beverages. There were 4 in our group so two stayed in the bedroom, and two slept on the pullout sofa. I mention this because by reading the online descriptions I wasn't sure what the set up would be when we got there. 'Very nice location facing the sea, would be a great spot to watch aurora. Comfortable setting fit for 3 people. Check in very smooth with clear instruction from email. Could help if also include a washer/dryer. Not as convenient if want to buy grocery or get breakfast (option at youth hostel, drive a small distance). Wifi coverage seems to be spotty, for example no signal in the bedroom?'

'We loved the location as it is situated in the hills. The cottage is modern and a great place to stay the night after a long day of travelling. The check-in instructions are clearly communicated which makes everything very easy. We would definitely recommend this location.'

'No Pool! even though the main photo of the listing is of a pool, there is no pool on site, they offer access to a public pool about a mile away. To me, the whole point was to be able to go down for a quick swim with the kids, not have to venture out, find parking and all that hassle. That was very frustrating. Pool aside, the apartment was very nice. Clean and modern. Great view of the sunset over the ocean. If you're looking for a place with a pool, this isn't it. If you don't care...

'Excellent location, beautiful view. Modern interior design. Would be great to have clothing storage. Also there are some scuffs on the wall and ceiling that should be addressed, to maintain the general appearance of the suite. Great stay.'

'Decent apartments close to the downtown. Many cafes, restaurants nearby. The apartments are self check-in and they provide all information over email a few days before travel. Communication with them via email and phone was top notch! The rooms were clean with a kitchenette but a bit cramped for space when you have to open a big suitcase. The bed was not too comfy and had a creaking sound. The shower area is separatedfrom the WC by just a curtain, there is no cabin. So, the water spreads a bit.'

'We found the apartment’s lighting was too dark because of dark color of walls and not enough of lighting fixtures. Besides the fixtures are spot lights type so that certain areas were not covered. No headboard lights. The room is quite decent and very clean. Ample space for two people. Location is quite good, closes to the freeway leading to downtown Reykjavik.'
