  • Holly House is a 2 unit Victorian style home within walking distance to Downtown Ipswich shops, restaurants, Historic High St and MBTA as well as Bialek Park, Willowdale State Forest, CSA Farms and many other amenities. Walk next door to the Historic 1640 Hart House for dinner or spend the day visiting the Crane Estate and Crane Beach! Unit 1 is on the first floor where you will enjoy minimal stairs (only to get in) and the convenience of 2 bedrooms, living room and fully equipped kitchen with sunny breakfast nook. The beautiful gardens create an enchanting oasis away from the road. This location is perfect for couples or family wanting a summer beach getaway, holiday stay while visiting friends and family, weddings, or corporate stay! This is good environment for working from home or home schooling while you are away using our high speed internet! We had the best time at Holly House. Ipswich is adorable, close to the train and all the good coffee spots! Holly House was exceptionally clean and we felt right at home. Easy check in, great value, we’ll be back next year!

Amazing place! Amazing stay! Relaxing, sunny, quiet, clean, comfortable and cozy! Beautifully decorated and nicely stocked with everything we needed!  The local area offered great restaurants, beautiful open spaces, farms - all minutes from Holly House!

Beautiful home

Brought my wife and kids to Ipswich to visit Salem over the holiday and enjoy some day trips up the coast. Location was great and the house fit all of our needs. Would highly recommend for future stays for my friends and family coming to the area.

We love Holly house

We stayed in the first floor apartment of Holly House this trip. It was so comfortable and homey. We love that it is right next door to the Harte House restaurant. Thank you Denise for this great stay.

Lovely Apartment in Ipswich

This lovely apartment is only a mile from downtown and next to one of the best restaurants in Ipswich. It is very well stocked for cooking and there is an alcove and outside patio for eating. We only stayed two nights but hope to return for a longer stay.

Perfectly cozy location

Great comfy place to stay in Ipswich! My father in law is from Ipswich - he visits every year for the Topsfield Fair. So glad we found this place to stay in Ipswich so we can join him. House was clean & had everything we needed to make our trip great—looking forward to next year !

Perfect spot to explore Boston history

We took our Nephew to the area because he is a huge history nut. The rental was perfect to get in and around Boston. We took the train in from Ipswhich which was super convenient. Highly recommend this rental.

Perfect location & design.

Beautifully remodeled 1880 Victorian keeping the authenticity and charm with some modern touches. The grounds are lovely with ample parking. We were visiting family for 3 weeks & the location was exactly in the middle of all.

Wonderful home for a north shore getaway!

The house was everything we wanted for a girls long weekend getaway. It's extremely cozy and clean with the comforts of home. Just a mile from downtown Ipswich, it's also very close to Marini Farm, conservation trails and right next door to the 1640 Hart House. Definitely make reservations there. We can't recommend a stay here enough!

Lovely Traditional Home

Great location to visit beaches, Newburyport and various museums. Nice apartment with comfortable beds and good sized rooms. Next door to the fabulous Hart House restaurant and close to downtown Ipswich. Denise was wonderful and checked on us during our stay to be sure we had all we needed. Beautiful backyard with grill and outdoor dining. Good for small family group.

Nice apartment in convenient location

The apartment was clean, well kept, and in a convenient location to a number of amenities. There is a restaurant next store in case you dont want to drive the 2 minutes into the historic town center for dinner. Communication was clear and everything was smooth. We would definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

Hidden Gem

This property is beyond perfect! The yard and private sitting area is well maintained and there is plenty of parking space. The interior was spotless and decorated with so much thought and the Victorian decor was cozy yet beautiful. Our hosts were easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. On top of all the charm and elegance the home is located next door to a lovely historic restaurant with delicious food and tasty cocktails. If we ever travel back to Ipswich we will be staying here again!

Wonderful VRBO find!!

The rental was beautifully appointed and extremely clean. The location was central to all with a lovely restaurant right nearby. We enjoyed exploring the Ipswich/Essex area of the state. Occupants were myself(senior) and my 30's daughter. Though we live in MA, we had never spent time in this part of the state. Very quiet unit, full kitchen, and updated bathroom. Nothing more to ask for!

Charming, clean, & wonderful location

Had business in Lynnfield, but didn't want to stay in a hotel. This lovely VRBO was well worth the 25-30 min. drive. It's a perfect location to explore, it was clean, had everything needed, and was absolutely charming. Will definitely stay here again if back in the area. Plan some time just to relax with your favorite beverage in the comfy den. While Hart House is a little out of my personal price range, I did have one of the best Old Fashioned ever at their Tavern bar (inside the same house at the restaurant). A local provided the tip, so I'm passing it along! So much to do so close to the home! Perfect combination!

Brief breath of sea air

Holly House is a remodeled Victorian house. My brother and I were looking for a place with two bedrooms, and we were very comfortable with the two spacious rooms we found. The living room is a good place to relax, and we appreciated the full kitchen where we could do some cooking. The gardens surrounding the house are very pretty. We were a bit concerned about the location along Linebrook Rd., but what traffic there was - Ipswich "rush hour" - didn't disturb us very much, and it was very quiet at night. Holly House is quite close to the town center and is well situated for reaching the beaches, walking trails, restaurants and shopping. We were pleased that a grocery store was nearby. We'd come back and would recommend the place to others.

Lovely house in a beautiful area

We loved our stay. The town of Ipswich is beautiful and the location of this lovely home is within an easy drive of Salem and Gloucester. The house is well equipped and decorated according to the age and style of the house. The shower was nice and powerful, which is always a plus. The only improvements in our opinions were that the mattresses could do with replacing. They were very soft. Also the couch seats in the living room could be replaced/refilled. These small things did not take away from out stay. Thank you so much
