'We loved our stay at Placid Village. Ideal for short distance away from the Carvoeiro beach. You do need a car I think to make it easy to move around, the walk to the beach is quite steap and would not recommend. The appartment itself is in a good state, really spacious. Even had a washing machine which we used. Also a large supermarket located nearby, a 5 minute drive. '

'Het appartement was prima, service en netheid van de kamer super, dicht bij voorzieningen, openbaar vervoer en winkels. Leuke authentieke Portugese restaurantjes zijn wat verder verwijderd of we hebben ze niet gevonden.Dat was jammer.Het strand is nooit ver weg.'

'Excellent 4 day stay during height of summer at Salty Lodge. Literally steps from the busy Old town, but area is very safe and somewhat quieter. The rooms are pretty spacious for our family of four, with a veranda that looks out/down to the street activity, stores and restaurants. Shower has pretty good water pressure, no shortage of hot water and rooms have comfy beds. We enjoyed the 5th floor rooftop, oh the views! Make sure to it out at sunrise. 'De kleinschaligheid geeft je echt een gevoel van thuiskomen. Is groter dan het lijkt op de online foto’s. Heel erg netjes, kamerservice (poetsen, vuilnisbakken ledigen, handdoeken en toiletproducten aanvullen) Is heel rustig gelegen, lekker lang en stil uitslapen dus! Voor de stad heb je vervoer nodig (of goeie wandelschoenen) Wij komen terug!'
