Since it was off-season and raining there wasn't as much excitement as I might have hoped, but the food was great, the pricing very fair and the boat ride an adventure to remember for years to come. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and their staff for a great stay.

The hotel staff was fine. The facilities were delightful. The ocean crossing was a bit tough with a boat that limped along making a 20 minute trip 2 hours and several of my group seasick. But the adventure was well worth the experience for the delight of being on this island for 24 hours. Next time I go I will hope to have sunny weather. Overall I had a great time with a wonderful walk around the island... though I should have definitely bought water shoes before making the trek. I will know better next time to ask better questions!

The place was in a nice location but the property was not kept up at all. Run down buildings and unkept landscaping. It had a pool but it wasn’t a very inviting ambience.

Very nice surroundings, property on the beach, very nice pool. Their breakfast is to die for, it's diverse enough to please any Haitian-American crowd. They need to pay more attention to the comfort of the room( soap, towel .....)

Très bel hôtel dans un cadre idéal !

Chambre spacieuse et confortable, repas copieux et très bons, cadre parfait. En bonus, quelques petites activités : pétanque, kayak, ping-pong ! Un séjour parfait !

In the process of making my reservation online I had questions and contacted the hotel. I inquired about the rate and was sent an email with rates that were twice as much as the ones posted online. My email inquiring about the difference in rates stayed unanswered for 2 weeks. The boat used to bring us from the Wharf to the hotel broke down a little over halfway through the trip. A strong fuel odor caused me to get sick. Another boat (200 chevaux) was requested by the captain in order to rescue us (He cut his hand badly while extracting water from the motor area). A motor equipped canoe operated by a local rescued us instead. Upon arrival we were greeted by Didier the owner who barely mentioned the incident. We were shown to our room which was spacious and had a nice size balcony with a view over the sea. The shower smelled like urine. We had lunch on the beach. The only amenities on this beach were the long wooden beach chairs. Our server (there’s only one for everyone/ there was only another couple) was very pleasant and was efficient at describing the menu items. The main items were Fish, Conch, Chicken. The food was tasty and was always accompanied by local fruit juices. There was not a large choice for breakfast. We did use the same scary boat to return to the mainland. The owner declared that it was all set. The captain clearly did not feel the same way as it took us at least 25 minutes longer to reach the wharf.

If everything could go wrong...

Beware, beautiful view but terribly managed... The only way to get to the hotel was by water transport (stated during booking). Overall the boat itself was less than desirable and ended up stalling in the middle of the ocean on our departure. Boat trip fee, which had never been disclosed, was $18 a person (EACH WAY), which we only learned about after receiving the final bill at check-out. With the boat being the only way to get there, why not disclose the price when booking or raise the hotel price to accommodate for such miscellaneous expenses? Check-in went smoothly, the hotel personnel were very polite and understanding though the least could be said for the manager/owner. Lunch/Dinner prices were pricey for what few options they had, $25 per person for each meal. Oh and the complementary breakfast? Make sure you get up extra early, since you might have to miss it due to unorganized and erratic boat travel times. Free WiFi? Do not expect any WiFi at all. We were told that the WiFi had issues but that we could stand in the office to use their WiFi if urgent... but I thought the WiFi didn't work? Going swimming and leaving your belongings to dry outside your room? DON'T. Our belongings were stolen by locals that tend to the hotel and the owner did not seem to care, his response being "the world has changed". Beware of the "beautiful beach", which is really only saturated with seaweed and sea urchins (which were not warned of). We sure learned our lesson, never visit again.

Nasty hotel

Hotel in very poor condition,moskitos every where,the boat that supposed to take you to the island,the engine stops in the middle of the ocean with 10 passengers on board and no other boat available....can you imagine the situation I do not recommend this hotel at all Shame on port Morgan hotel

Comfortable quaint hotel

My overall experience was good however the owner and receptionist were not the best at customer service. The entire stay the internet was down and not working, I was charged for the boat transportation to the island but was not advised of this fee. The boat did not have an overhang so we were in the sun for the 35 minute ride. I would recommend Abaka Bay instead. Both are on opposite sides of the island but Abaka Bay has the beach and a better transportation boat with cover. The transportation fee was the most inconvenient and upset me the most. I repeatedly explained to the receptionist and the owner - I had called ahead and asked for explanation on how to get to the hotel. I was advised that they have a boat that picks us up. When I checked in I requested the internet password and she advised that there were some issues and would let me know when it was back up - which for the total of 3 days did not come up. At no time was I told the cost of the transportation. When I went to check out that's when I was handed this charge, as there were four of us, this was an expensive fee. It was only at this time that she, the receptionist, claimed she had sent an email with this fee. I asked her when was I supposed to receive this as I didn't have internet. Any other hotel upon realizing this inconvenience and lack of explanation would have at least volunteered to reduce the cost - however the owner and receptionist, I felt completely lacked customer service skills.

Nice hotel in an incredible village

It is a very nice hotel nice pool but an ugly ass beach very dirty I had to walk 30 mins to go to another hotel with an actual beach. I give them zero for services, zero front desk , zero staff, no information to client you have to go ask for everything. A very poor buffet but super expensive. I liked my stay because the room was comfortable they a great pool and the village is beautiful with very nice people but other than that I was a little disappointed.

Nous avons été très déçu de l'hôtel. Pour rejoindre l'île, nous avons pris un petit bateau. Nous devions sauter pour le rejoindre. La nourriture était décevante. Le premier plat reçu à été deux plateaux de pains moisis. Des crevettes mangées en soirée étaient infectes. Le personnel n'était pas disponible. Le séjour très court a été dispendieux. Les plats (dîner et souper) , le transport en bateau, les boissons étaient en extra. Une employée nous a demandé de remplir des formulaires avant notre départ. Nous avons pas rempli. Car les informations demandées étaient sensibles (no de passeport, profession, etc) C'est dommage car nous avions de grandes attentes. La vue était splendide mais nous ne retournerons plus à cette hôtel.

Very nice place, but pricy with boat & meal costs

Just had time for one night, but the stay was very enjoyable. View from the room veranda overlooking the sea was beautiful. Boat ride there was very choppy and overpriced. Room was clean and comfortable. Meals were good, but selected for us. Accommodated my wife's vegan diet but charged full meal price. Beach was quiet, but unimpressive.

Perfect Getaway

It is a lovely property! My room had a balcony with an amazing view! Breakfast was so delicious (try the pancakes). And Angelo the manager was so friendly and helpful. Go and relax!!
