Hunter Mountain Ski Cabin, Hot Tub - QUINN HOLLOW

Quinn Hollow is a freshly renovated cabin on 2 private wooded acres, directly across from Hunter Mountain. You're 2 minutes from the slopes, and you can see them from the house.

Spend the day skiing or riding, then come home to a soak in the hot tub with snow falling on the trees. Finish with s'mores at the fire pit and a movie in a warm cabin. Tannersville's cafes, restaurants, and craft beer are 5 minutes away, and the Catskills are 2 hours from NYC.

The space

Winter is when Quinn Hollow feels most like a getaway. The 2 wooded acres go quiet under snow, the creek keeps running through the property, and the ski slopes are in view from the house. Hunter Mountain is directly across the road, so you can be on the lift in minutes and back at the cabin with your boots off soon after the last run.

Start the morning with coffee and the mountain view. Then hit the slopes, or head to Windham (10 minutes) or Belleayre (30 minutes) for a change of scenery. Come back to the hot tub, the fire pit, and a grilled dinner on the covered patio. The CharBroil works in winter too, and it's a fun way to cook after a day on the mountain.

Not skiing? There's plenty else to do:

Kaaterskill Falls (15 minutes) is one of the most photographed winter scenes in the Catskills, when the 260-foot falls freeze. Bring traction cleats, since the trail can be icy.
North-South Lake (15 minutes) has quiet winter trails, good for snowshoeing.
Tannersville (5 minutes) has Main Street coffee, farm-to-table dinners, and craft beer.
Woodstock (35 minutes) and Hudson (45 minutes) are easy day trips for shops, galleries, and restaurants.

Quinn Hollow sleeps 6 across 2 bedrooms and 3 sleeping spaces. The third space, "the nook," is a small office with a sleeper sofa that works as a desk or an extra bed. Please, no more than 6 guests.
