House is very large and has two kitchens which served us well since we had 12 adults. A lot of outdoor space and some small trails through the woods which we also enjoyed. Quiet with lots of different seating experiences both inside and out.

It was a wonderful environment for all. There was plenty of room for everybody. With the pond outback my grandson was able to fish, hunt for snakes, look for frogs, his kind of day. The hot tub was a hit by the adults, if we go back to the area will be requesting it again

This was a comfortable large home that was perfect for our family wedding/reunion! Lots of seating space on the porch and deck with very few mosquitoes! Quiet rural farm area but a close drive for food and sightseeing.

Great for a guys weekend

Rave reviews from our 11-man bachelor party. We had more than enough room to sleep comfortably. Great grilling setup. Close to grocery stores, and a quick trip downtown. Loved the ping pong table, and of course the hot tub is great. Really peaceful setting. Enjoyed seeing our cow neighbors next door too. Would absolutely make the trip again.

Beautiful venue for a small private wedding!

This house was absolutely perfect our small wedding with our immediate families and close friends (14 people). The property was huge, gorgeous and very relaxing. Everyone enjoyed hanging out by the fire pit and walking through the forest. We had a beautiful wedding at the gazebo and we had plenty of space to celebrate at the house afterwards. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. They gave us extra time for checking in and out so we could set up an clean everything we needed. My husband and I highly recommend this place!!!

State Track stay

This was perfect for my family. 17 year old was racing in state track meet, He loves the steam shower and Hot tub. 16 year old loves to fish, and twin 13 year olds loved the variety of outdoor stuff and the lay out of the house. We didn’t even get to use the ping pong table because it was a short trip. And My husband was hooked up to the EV charger.

Warm & Welcoming!

The home is beautiful! The setting is serene. We had two families for a total of 8 with a couple of dogs and were very comfortable. The house is very well kept. Our boys enjoyed the hot tub each evening. Good location- close to GR and Holland/ Zeeland. Would definitely look to stay here again if we are back in this area

Big, roomy house

This was a great house for our bachelorette party. There are lots of bed spaces for everyone and a group of us enjoyed using the hot tub. The one downside is we did find 3 mice. The hosts were very responsive and they had traps at the house to set out. They offered to come the next day to set them for us but we felt comfortable doing that.

Girls Weekend

We had a great time hanging out, playing games, and enjoying the hot tub. The house was perfect for our needs. Space to spread out, large enough kitchen on the top floor, HUGE kitchen below. The hot tub was clean, easy to use, and great for a cool night. We drove 15 minutes to get pizza one night. It's close enough to civilization to meet you needs but far enough away that you can feel like you're getting away from it all. There were 11 women staying in the house, the bathrooms were great and the sleeping areas were sufficient for our needs. We didn't mind sharing the larger beds. Communication with the owners was easy and they were very responsive to my questions. If we decide to stay in the same area in the future, we will stay here again.

Father Inlaw birthday

The property is very quite and well taken care of. Some of our group enjoyed taking in the large hot tub. The home is very large and has a kitchen upstairs and one downstairs. The deck is nice with composite flooringing. There is a large patio under which is where the hot tub is. We made use of the nice gas fireplace in the livingroom. We were only there for two nights and spent the day out taking in winerys in the area. We all enjoy the home and it size was perfect for our group. We had a great stay.

Perfect for a Large Group

This large, but cozy, home is in a quiet area, tucked in the woods. It is a short drive to restaurants, stores, and services. Kids and adults enjoyed short walks in the woods. These hosts were amazing. They communicated all needs prior to our arrival- key codes, hot tub directions, detailed property information, etc. Communication was timely, friendly, and helpful. They could not have been more accommodating. Our family traveled from several states across the country, and we were able to come together in any one of several indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. We would book again for sure.

District 5 Schoolhouse Wedding

This house was perfect for our four/five small families to stay in one place. We had everything we needed and the floor plan worked wonderfully for each family to have their own space. The hot tub, fire pit and trails were very cool. This was the perfect house for the dog...she stayed downstairs and enjoyed the patio. The back deck was a great place to relax among the tall trees. ps great reading material.

Son's wedding

House was great, plenty of room for our family from out of town. The hot tub was amazing, along with the outside deck/patio areas. Plenty of space, even for other out of town guest that stopped by the night before the wedding for a visit. It was a busy weekend, but nice to have a large home to come back to to relax after all the wedding events.

Extremely overpriced. The house was nice and large. The linens were all musty, felt like no one had been there for a while. Couch cushions were disgusting and the floors were filthy. The lake for fishing is not a lake as pictured. It’s more of a catchment/pond with an unstable dock. My dog fell from it, into the freezing black water. Not safe and I would not let kids on it after that. Nice deck. Hot tub was nice but the area around it was gross. Very gross. Dirt, mud, mold etc. There was not a place to sit on the patio unless I cleaned for a hour. I AM NOT cleaning a VRBO upon arrival-that I paid 2k for. Cushions scattered everywhere, patio chairs were stacked for storage and unavailable, it was a mess. For the price of 2k- for a day and a half-I’m extremely disappointed. I realize that it was 30° and the weather was not cooperative, but the house was not set up to facilitate any kind of weather. Or guest.

Grand Valley Visit

We had our extended family out to visit our niece at Grand Valley. This home was ideal as it wasn't too far away from GVSU, had plenty of space for adults and teenagers, and the outdoor trails were great for walking our dog.

Homebase for family wedding

We used the house as our home base for children and grandchildren as we came from out of state to celebrate our son's wedding. We had plenty of room to spread out and get good rest between events. The hot tub was a huge plus at the end of our days.

Shower trouble

We all enjoyed our stay at this house! The setting was very peaceful, the accommodations were very comfortable, and, the house met all of our needs. We loved sitting out on the upper deck with our morning coffee, and, loved hanging out around the gas fire pit at night. The property owners were very friendly, and, VERY responsive to any questions or needs we had. The only problem we had was with the handicap accessible shower. Unfortunately, the shower drain didn’t drain well, and, because there is no elevated edge along the shower entrance, water backed up all over the bathroom floor and onto the bedroom carpet. The owners responded to our call for help immediately, and, the drain clog was remedied right away. Unfortunately, for both the owners and for us, the situation created a mess. I would just caution anyone using that shower to pay attention to whether or not the water is indeed flowing into the drain. Because the water was able to flow freely from the shower area into the rest of the bathroom, the fact that the water was not flowing properly down the drain wasn’t picked up on until it was too late. I hope others find their stay to be as pleasant as ours was.

A lovely place and perfect to the event!

We attended our niece's wedding. The events took place in Hudsonville and the Gardens and the location of this place was ideal. The events allowed us to also have a family reunion with my older kids and their spouse and children staying The number of bedrooms, beds, bathroom, 2 floors, on a 10 acre forested property with trails was just perfect! We are from the PNW and the rustic house in the woods felt like home! 😀 Jackson and Valerie were wonderful. Clear communication and flexible allowing us to check in a couple of hours early so that we can rest from traveling and before the festivities. Thank you. We are so appreciative to have found your place as it played an important part in reconnecting with family and creating wonderful memories -- the grand kids loved the nest!
