'Warning: If you go to Sihanoukville, you are leaving Cambodia and entering China.
This lovely and charming beachtown had been sold to the chinese and they are building casino’s, for the chinese, everywhere. The Khmer and expats are moving out, about 75 percent of the population is chinese!
The same goes for the hotel! Once a paradise on earth for european visitors, I was now one of the four people from europe. The rest in this fully booked hotel was... chinese!
Breakfast, which was great...

'Overwhelmed by the amount of Mainland Chinese that are drunk or hanging around in the lobby, that invade the morning breakfast without manners or are talking loudly at night in rooms next door.
Far from a good experience, that being said, this can also been said about the state and service of the resort. The hotel room was dirty, outdated and full of technical issues. At the first night there was no hot water, the power was shut down (which happens daily because of too much constructions...

'Far away from nice bars. Hotel oke, but staff isn't friendly at all and gives wrong information about bus trips. Don't book your bustickets ( at chapa company) at the hotel! Hotel does't gives you any information about the hotel and surroundings. When you come back at the hotel after 11 o'clock, there is nobody anymore... If you have a choice... Go to otres 2!'

'Hôtel de très bonne qualité. Rapport qualité prix excellent. Attention cependant à la localisation de votre bungalow: certains manquent d’intimité avec une clôture végétale minimaliste et au regards de tous les passants allant au restaurant.
Les 50$ de frais facturés pour le transfert en bateau sont un peu exagérés, un hôtel de ce standing devrait offrir cette prestation.

'Koh Russey Resort was a highlight of my stay in Cambodia. From the moment I was picked up at the mainland lounge to arriving by private boat at the resort’s private jetty, the service felt seamless and very special.
The island itself has a beautiful rustic charm and I loved how natural and low key everything feels. It’s the perfect place to slow down, breathe out, and reset away from the hustle and bustle. The villas are spacious and thoughtfully designed, blending nicely into the...
