The Space:
Rock Rose has recently been refurbished and enhanced with stunning interiors in a French, antique style. Originally serving as Holt’s workhouse and built in 1779, this cottage holds a huge amount of character and many years' worth of history in the town of Holt.
The sitting room is a gorgeous, relaxing space with a wood burning fire, comfortable sofas, a 43” Smart TV with voice activation controls, a DVD/Blu-ray player and a Bose sound bar. There is also a Roberts Bluetooth radio which can be used as a separate speaker to use for your own music supply via Bluetooth. The details in the room include unique shelving, lovely prints displayed on the wall and house plants to create the perfect ambiance.
The kitchen diner is well-equipped and spacious. There is ample space to socialise and relax including an island with stools as well as a cosy dining area in the corner with chairs, cushions and dining table. The owners of the home have ensured the kitchen is stylish and well-equipped for all your culinary needs. There is a matching retro style fridge, kettle and microwave with vintage details. The range cooker has both a five-ring gas hob and an electric ceramic cooking plate which makes it very versatile. Rock Rose also has an integrated dishwasher and integrated washer dryer. There is also a Pure Evoke Bluetooth radio which can be used as a separate speaker to use for your own music supply via Bluetooth.
A unique feature of Rock Rose is a ‘secret garden’ located on the opposite side of the loke from the property. The garden has comfy seating and a small garden room which catches the sun making it a perfect space to sit out and unwind. Also included is a charcoal BBQ, fire pit with seating and a sand pit.
Leading from the kitchen and up three small steps you’ll find the downstairs shower room, which has a modern and sleek design. The large overhead shower enclosed in a glass shower unit and stylish tiling add to the luxurious feel of the bathroom.
The landing has a lovely seating area and table, directly next to a radiator so it's a perfect, warm place to curl up with a book in the winter evenings.
The master bedroom has a king size bed with storage space and the owners have provided beautiful silk covered hangers.
Bedroom two has a zip and link bed, which can either be made up as a super king-size or two single beds (please let us know about your preferred configuration at the earliest opportunity). Hanging space with silk covered hangers is also available in this room.
Bedroom three is a twin room with a chest of drawers and mirrors on the wall.
The family bathroom has beautiful, tiled details throughout and hosts a free-standing roll-top bath and a shelf with house plants.
The private courtyard, located directly outside the front door, has a patio area with a table and seating and planted flowers. A lovely place to sit out and catch the evening sun.

The keys to Rock Rose are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to check-in.
Private on-site parking is available for one vehicle. Free on-street parking is also available nearby on a first come, first served basis.
One well-behaved dog is welcome to stay at Rock Rose per reservation.

The closest train station to Holt can be found in Sheringham, six miles away from Rock Rose by road. From Sheringham, direct services can be found operating to Cromer, North Walsham and Norwich.
The nearby heritage steam railway, the Poppy Line, provides a nostalgic journey through the countryside to the seaside town of Sheringham.
A number of bus routes operating in Holt offering access to Aylsham, Cromer, Fakenham, North Walsham, Norwich, Reepham, Sheringham and Wells-next-the-Sea.
