Muong Thanh would not let me cancel my booking and wouldn't even let me change the date, weeks before my stay. When I did stay, something as simple as eating in the lobby where there was plenty of tables of chairs, was only possible if I were to pay. They would only allow us to eat outside if we bought from their restaurant

I would give a better rating if the design of the bathroom would provide a place for soaps and stuff, instead we had to put them on the floor. The shelf for the towels was small and located at a very inconvenient spot of the bathroom where it should be near or within reach of the shower door. It blocks the mirror when you had hanging towels.
The carpet was old and dirty as we can clearly see a stained spot on it.
Unless you requested, I think the bed sheets would probably never replace. They simply straighten them back into place. I noticed there were yellow spots (possibly stain from urine) appeared on several parts of the bed sheet which I wouldn't dare to find out what exactly it was. So when the room service went through the room on the first few nights I noticed the stain spots were still there. After several nights staying in the same room, I was happened to be in the room when the service folks came in to straighten up the beds so I know they don't change them. I had to specifically requested them to change the bed sheets then yes they changed them afterward. For this reason, I'm sorry that I can't give them any better than 2 stars rating for the facility and cleanliness of the hotel.

I had previously stayed the night at this hotel for one night just a quick airport stop then coming back 2 weeks later for 2 nights stay. I requested a shower only without tub room17 days in advance, they accommodated by providing the worst room possible. If you’ve been to Vietnam, most hotels have the shower tub design its the most dangerous and accident waiting to happen climbing in. My sister checked in the same day as I and requested the shower only without tub, they provided her with much better room. Meaning the shower stall was adequate, mine had the shower curtain inches away from the toilet. Barely any separation you have a step around the toilet to get out see room#1520. Thanks staff for selecting which guest gets the better room.

Honest review - I booked this hotel purely for its proximity to the airport and this served its purpose perfectly. We stayed overnight to get some sleep before a flight the next day and the airport is quite close. The hotel itself is a bit tired and is probably in need of some refurbishment. The mattress in my room was hard as a rock and there is a musty smell throughout the premises. The external areas around the property are well maintained. If you’re looking for a transit option this is a good option however the bang for buck probably doesn’t meet some of the other alternative options available. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Everything is good. Except, the shower bathroom does NOT have a door or curtain. Therefore, when you shower, water is EVERYWHERE.
I addressed the issue with the hotel management team, hopefully they will take care the issue.
