'Very friendly host with lots of useful local info. Top quality delicious breakfast, comfortable bed.'

'Check in was not good. I traveled from a different country and needed wifi to get a code. I had to drive 5 miles to get to a friend to call the owners. The owners were in and out of service so they could only text. When i finally got the proper code. It was 5 flights of steep stairs. It should have been told how many flights of stairs to go with a large suitcase.'

'Uitstekend hotel met ruime kamers, vriendelijk personeel en voortreffelijk eten.'

'Booking restaurant reservations for more than six people is via an automated telephone system which isn’t managed. Very difficult to book a table. Book on line should provide a larger table capacity selection or provide an email to request a table for larger parties not the telephone system.'

'Prachtige kamers op begane grond met uitzicht op abbey en oude bomen. Erg vriendelijk personeel. Geweldige tuin om te vertoeven. Heel schoon. Zowel diner als ontbijt waren geweldig.'

'Don’t expect leisure access.'

'The staff was more than helpful, food was superb, room was cosy, because I couldn’t have breakfast they put me up a packed lunch. More than happy to stay again.'

'We had a very comfortable stay at the wheatsheaf in Swindon, staff were friendly and welcoming, a bar that was open for drinks and places to sit and relax. Our room was comfortable although window wouldn’t stay open to let in fresh air as it was a warm day outside. Our even meal was delicious with a good choice of menu. Breakfast was also good and the service was swift. a great start to our day. All in all an enjoyable stay would revisit this hotel again in the future.'

'De medewerkers waren ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Heel fijn dat er glutenvrije opties waren voor het ontbijt, zelfs Haggis! '

'Melrose is een pareltje in het grensgebied. Perfect hotel met een heerlijk ontbijt en restaurant. Tevens is er een afgesloten fietsenstalling achter het hotel.'

'I was in Rm 4, a small twin with ensuite. The window opened (hood) but unfortunately, right onto the alley where the cooking fan vented. It was quite loud but did stop before bedtime. Breakfast was surprisingly included and very tasty. Did not have dinner as there was nothing small that I wanted to eat. I was later told by a customer that you could order half portions of the main menu items. I didn’t realize this and would have done so. Good drafts on tap, staff were friendly but the room...
