Beautiful Stay in Hilton Head

We loved Sea Glass and look forward to our next visit. This was our first trip to HHI. Tanya and Marty have a fantastic house and were so helpful providing recommendations for our first visit. The house was perfect for our family of five, and could have acommodated several more. The backyard pool and lagoon was a zen spot, helping us unwind all week. We're also big fans of Palmetto Dunes. The trees dripping with Spanish moss, the thoughtful landscaping, beautiful houses, and private feel make for a special place. We explored other parts of the island, including Sea Pines, but Palmetto Dunes hooked us. Our three teenage boys spent most of their time on the nearby beach (a short bike ride), or eating. But they biked around Palmetto Dunes (many, many trails), chilled out in the pool, visited the General Store. There was more for the boys to do in Palmetto Dunes - kayaking in the lagoons, golf (we're not there yet), tennis/pickleball, fishing, ping pong at the house - we just couldn't get to it all. We drove 20 minutes for a jet ski adventure one afternoon and had a blast. The whole vacation was just a great time for all. Alas, we tried several food options and weren't knocked out. Our favorite meal was...pizza. Giuseppe's, in nearby Shelter Cove, makes a solid pizza and more. The Social Bakery was a GREAT spot for pastries. Coco's On the Beach was fun. But we'll keep looking for a top dinner spot on our next trip. Enjoy your stay. We highly recommend Sea Glass!!!

Peaceful and beautiful property

Morning coffee, evening cocktails and an al fresco lunch by the pool/lagoon were our top three favorite things about this property. It was a perfect spot for reading and relaxing in the sun. Well designed kitchen and very comfy beds. Tanya and her husband have a little piece of paradise!

Wonderful Beach Vacation

House was beautiful and perfect for our week with family (6 adults, 4 yr old and 2 yr old). We really enjoyed cooking and eating dinner each night in the well-appointed kitchen. We spent most of our days on the beach, which was a short walk from the house and also used the convenient buggy pick-up. There were plenty of beach chairs, a wagon and loads of beach toys. The private beach access was wonderful - it was never crowded. We also enjoyed the pool - it was very clean, and the backyard was great - plenty of chairs, a nice grill. We got to see some deers, turtles and even a small alligator. Tanya offered to connect via phone ahead of time to answer all my questions. This was so helpful - she gave us many recommendations of things to do, restaurants to try, where to shop, etc. When we got there, we felt like we already knew so much about the area - always a plus! I highly recommend this property. It is a gem!!

Wonderful family spot

Outstanding. Loved the house, pool, and amenities. Owner were so helpful and responsive to questions ahead of our stay. It was perfect for my 75th birthday celebration. Ages ranged from 17 to 78!

Sea Glass vacation

The house was beautiful, well equipped and the natural surroundings were also. My son in law loved to fish in the lagoon. We didn’t have a view of the ocean but the Dunes Buggy transported us there when we didn’t want to walk.

Family Vacation

Clean property with spacious family room and well stocked kitchen. Tonya was very helpful with questions upon arriving and entertainment throughout our stay. Also nice pool for kids and they loved spotting gators and turtles in the lagoon! We ordered in a low country boil from Carolina Crab which was delicious! Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home!

Perfect Family Home

We have never been to Hilton Head before, so I looked at many properties before deciding on this one. I have not even the slightest regret, it was very comfortable and PERFECT for our family. Tanya and Marty thought of every detail when setting up this vacation rental. The hang out areas are great. We could all sit around the dining room table to eat and play games. What I really appreciated was that there were 2 pack and play cribs for our little toddlers, a high chair and a booster seat. The kitchen is so well equipped with everything we needed: above and beyond what is usually expected. We Cooked a lot of family favorites and we went out for some amazing sea food and southern specialties. We all loved the pool. It was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. My boys caught so many fish from the back yard they were in heaven! Wild life and birdwatching was amazing! Our favorite activity was bike riding through the Palmetto Dunes community and on the beach. The kids went out on bikes every morning to see the sunrise. Having beach chairs, toys and a wagon available is so thoughtful. We had ping pong and corn hole competitions. There was never a lul in things to do. Tanya gave us some great suggestions of places to go, where to eat, and where to find the best ice cream on the Island. We had a blast! and will always have wonderful memories of Hilton Head Island.

Wonderful for the whole family!

Our large family had a fantastic time at Seaglass Cottage! This home had everything we needed—plenty of space for playing games, watching movies and hanging out by the pool. We enjoyed preparing meals in the beautiful well-stocked kitchen. The neighborhood had so much to do—golf, tennis, pickle ball, bike rentals. We took advantage of the beach chair set-up service which made our day at the beach so care free! Tanya and Marty have thought of everything and created a perfect family retreat! They were very responsive to any questions we had—Tanya even emailed me activity suggestions for the one rainy day we had! We would definitely rent this home again!!

Fantastic Property

It was our annual mother/daughters trip. We looked at multiple houses and decided to go with Sea Glass and we were so happy that we did. The house is laid out very well to promote togetherness yet still allow people their own space. Everything was very well stocked and probably the best stocked kitchen I've seen in some time. Very, very clean and very easy check in and check out processes. The fountain in the pond was great to listen to and overall, the property was very quiet. You could easily walk to the beach which we did every morning. You won't be disappointed with this property!

Farm Meets Beach

We live on a farm in Iowa, so our family beach vacation to celebrate our 45th Anniversary was fantastic! Tanya is super about answering questions quickly. Of course the pool was awesome, but we ended up having a ping pong tournament in the garage! We rented bikes a short distance away which was so much fun, especially on the beach. We took our red flashlights to the beach at night to look for sea turtles hatching and the moon and stars where absolutely magical! The home was immaculate and beautiful. It’s so spacious! We hope to visit again 🌴

Fun Family Week at the Beach

We all enjoyed our stay at Sea Glass Cottage. Clean, quiet, updated and very well stocked. Owners are responsive and very helpful. The pool and backyard are excellent outdoor space. We enjoyed playing corn hole, soaking in the pool and grilling out after our days of beach, golf and tennis time! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful Weekend

We loved the Sea Glass cottage. This neighborhood of Palmetto Dunes is beautiful and easy to get around. The pool in the back was a big hit for our two- and four-year-old boys, as were the beach toys in the garage. You can walk to the beach--which was huge and not very crowded, especially for a holiday weekend--or rent bikes to make the trip even shorter. The kitchen was well stocked, and the home had everything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again.

No detail spared -- an amazing stay!

Tanya and Marty have done an AMAZING job with their beach house Sea Glass! From the initial conversation through our last day, Tanya was super responsive and helpful. My family is very Covid-conscious because I have multiple underlying health conditions, but Tanya put me at ease immediately. I told her we would only be eating at outdoor establishments, and she listed off a number of restaurants and cafes she recommended that had outdoor seating. There was also a grill in the backyard, multiple grocery stores, and plenty of takeout available, so we didn't need to eat out every meal. The house was extremely clean and well-kept, and the were mini soaps and shampoos in the bathrooms. I really liked the decor; it was full of light and modern. So many places I looked at had very mid-20th century floral upholstery, which is definitely not my cup of tea -- this one was beautiful without me feeling like I couldn't let my grade-schooler touch anything. The only thing that wasn't "clean" was the pool, but that's not the fault of the owners. A pool cleaner came to clear out leaves and debris, and you couldn't tell it had been vacuumed an hour after he left because it was full of leaves again! No complaints from me on that, though -- I liked that the backyard was surrounded by trees and not just a concrete jungle. The pool is on the Southwest side of the house, so it doesn't get full sun until later in the morning. That's probably welcome in the summer, but it was definitely a bit chilly when we were there in March. We did pay to have the pool heated, and I'm very glad we did. The weather was *amazing* when we were there, but I don't think any of us would've gone in the water so early in the season if we hadn't paid the heating fee. Sea Glass is in a gated community. We rented bikes, and they were right in front of the house when we first arrived, and picked up after our departure, so we were able to enjoy biking to the beach without having to worry about transporting the bikes at the beginning or end of our stay. Within the community there are activities (golfing, kayaking, a general store and a couple of restaurants), and multiple beach access points. Leaving the complex takes 10 minutes, so I recommend grabbing your groceries, etc., when coming home from an activity or meal. Everything seemed family-friendly, the closed beach access wasn't at all crowded, and the waves were gentle (this was late March). Highly recommended -- thank you Tanya and Marty!

Clean, quiet and relaxing!

Sea Glass was an incredible destination for our 2022 spring break. Property owner(s), manger and pool service team were all incredibly responsive and diligent with details! This home is welcoming and family friendly (our kids ages 7-17 x5) with games, bunk beds, snuggle blankets, etc. We walked to the beach and rode our bikes everywhere. The cul-de-sac was so peaceful and pleasant. Sleep space: Great! Sleeps three couples easy with two separate kid sleeping rooms as well. Clean bathrooms! Kitchen: Very well socked and organized! Indoor and outdoor dishes a plenty and both very stylish. Keurig and traditional coffee pot both in good condition and well utilized by my family. Two bars to eat at and a large dining table. Pack a puzzle for the rainy weather and you’ll be set! Outdoor space: Lovely sun soaking space with furniture, grill, pool and yard down to the pond where a fountain decorates the water in daytime hours. The twin screen doors to the pool off the living room as well as the pingpong table in the garage are both great unique assets to this vacation sweet spot! In sum, so many fantastic qualities to this special place. Rest and solitude in style and comfort while adventure awaits as soon as you want to embrace it. We hope to be back soon!

PERFECT Beach Family Getaway!!! Our new favorite beach escape!

We loved everything about our stay! Tanya and Marty were very responsive and friendly to work with, and the house was just as shown in the pictures, but even lovelier in person. The layout was great for us with younger kids, teens and adults. We absolutely loved the views in the backyard, and that the house is in a quieter part of the neighborhood but still an easy walk -and even easier bike ride - to the beach. We appreciated the beach wagon and chairs, and had fun with the beach bocce on the sand. Kids and adults played cornhole, others golfed, and the Weber grill was great. We liked being able to see the backyard from the kitchen, which had everything we needed. The extra prep area, drink fridge and plentiful counter space made cooking and setting out snacks and meals easy. Great Wi-Fi. My mom has a hard time with stairs, so not having to worry about that (one level) was ideal. Next time we will stay longer! This is our new favorite spot!
