Absolutely Filthy – We Left the Next MorningWe were extremely disappointed with our recent stay at this VRBO rental in Hilton Head. While the property itself has clearly been beautifully renovated, the cleanliness was appalling and completely unacceptable. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed a strong mildew smell throughout the house. There was visible sand on the floors, stains on the couch, and the bathroom was disgusting — hairs in the shower and drawers, making it feel like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. The worst part: we found blood on one of the comforters, which was absolutely horrifying.The condition of the home was so bad that we checked out the very next morning and had to scramble to find another place to stay on the island — at our own expense. While the owner did send a cleaning crew out quickly after we complained, many of these issues could not be solved with a basic cleaning. Unfortunately, the owner was completely unhelpful beyond that point — refusing to refund our money for the filthy rental and refusing to cover any portion of the new lodging we were forced to find. He was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to take responsibility for the unacceptable condition of the home.We’ve stayed in many rentals over the years and have never experienced anything like this. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere — a nice renovation doesn’t mean much if the place is filthy!

The place was as described and we enjoyed our stay very much. Everything you need is just a few steps away. There were a few housekeeping issues that I brought to the owners attention. Also, the check in process and the use of Sea Crest facilities were difficult to navigate until we received additional information. We had a fantastic time!

Perfect for our family!

We loved our stay in Hilton Head! The location of this villa could not be more perfect, especially with a young family. Very short walk to the beach, all the shops and dining. We had everything we needed in the unit. Washer and dryer came in so handy on our week long stay. The unit was super clean and owner, Jim was incredibly helpful and responsive. We would 100% stay again!

Cleanest place we have stayed in a long time. Convenient location and the host was overly accommodating and responsive when we were frantically looking for a school book bag and computer that was left behind after our stay. Only issue is the code to get in the parking garage and elevator was wrong. We had to get the right code from someone else staying there.

perfect location

Wonderful location, In walking distance to everything beautiful condo, up dated and well taken care of. Owner was very accommodating and answered text messages promptly! The property looks just like the photos. Floors could have been vacuumed more thoroughly. Plenty of towels and dishes. would have been nice to have a few coffee pods, Kleenex, extra trash bags & a more efficient ice maker. Overall I would 100% stay here again! Across the street from the Piggly Wiggly so it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. Our friends stayed 5 doors down and it was exact same floor plan and it was $1000 cheaper and was decorated just as nicely bathrooms could have been more modern but not enough for $1k difference.

Fantastic trip! We loved the upgrades to the unit- fresh and bright, well appointed and you can’t beat the location. Short walk to the beach and across the street from Coligny. The owner, Jim, was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning!
