For active guests there is also a swimming pool, leisure centre and bowling alley, and for those who enjoy visiting historical attractions, Hexham Abbey and Hadrian’s Wall offer a great day out. Why not spend a day at the races and take a trip to Hexham Racecourse, located only 2 miles away? The pretty village of Corbridge is only 3 miles away and is great for an afternoon enjoying a meal in one of the many traditional cafés or pubs there.

Those who enjoy exploring the local area and also learning a little about local history will be thrilled to find themselves just a few miles away from Hadrian’s Wall. With so much to see and discover here, they may find themselves returning day after day to either take a walk along the famous Military Road, explore one of the Roman Forts and settlements including Chesters, Vindolanda and Housesteads or take a look around the discovery centre called The Sill. Just a short drive to both Newcastle-upon-Tyne, guests who enjoy visiting more modern attractions on their holidays will be pleased to find the Metrocentre within easy distance.
