'There were no cocktails to be had At All ! The pillows need changing as they are like bricks and the Showers need a shower mat as it becomes very, very slippery. This is a shame, because everything else was Great.'

'A nice stay with a good breakfast. Didn't park my car in the hotel carpark due to £5 a day charge ( this is new). Easily parked over the road free. Hotel could do with a carpet upgrade (worn and dirty) all in all it was a nice place to stay, good clean rooms and friendly staff '

'Stayed one night in a single guest room. The room was a nice size and was very clean and comfortable. Warm, too, with a view towards the sea. Friendly reception which meant I felt at home, right away. If I'm ever in the area again, the Lemonfield will be the number one choice for me. Hopefully I'll be able to stay a bit longer next time, too! '

'All en-suite rims are different. Heavy wooden bed, headboard and furniture. Small en-suite but fully functional and lovely shower. Will definitely stay again.'

'We stayed here whilst visiting Beamish. It was relatively convenient for Beamish, quiet and comfortable. In particular, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Generally a very good option'

'Really great find. Excellent food and a great bar. Staff were just brilliant, Charlotte especially. Wonderful, very quiet and well appointed. Just great to sit in the main room with a book and admire the view. We did the taxi to Durham Cathedral just to complete our day.'
