Carriage House à la Mansion sur Market Street

  • Beautiful newly renovated Carriage House located on 2nd and Market st in downtown Hermann. Two blocks from Hermannhof Winery. This guest house features large king size bed, private bathroom, large shower and parking on the premises.
    This Carriage house features a cozy gas fireplace and privacy for a romantic weekend get away! There is a hot tub on the property that is shared with the main house as well. However, due to the high maintenance of the hot tub we can not guarantee it will be usable at your time of stay.
    We recently added a mini fridge, smart tv, and coffee bar. We also have added a flat top grill outside if you would like to use. However, we do not provide propane.
    Guest access
    There are key pad locks on the unit . We will give you the code approximately 20 minutes before your check in time.
    There is parking in the driveway in front of the unit or 6 spaces directly of the street on 2nd street
    Additionally, we now have our 400 sq ft wine lounge opening in Jan. 2027. The lounge features an 75 inch TV, seating for 14, shuffleboard, and dart!
    There is also a new outdoor firepit. ( You may have to refill the propane, we don't guarantee there will be fuel during your stay)

It was a perfect place to put up family members for a wedding weekend!! Very clean lots o’ space and a well stocked kitchen to make meals!!! Definitely recommend!!! Easy to walk anywhere in Hermann!!!

The inside of the peoperty was clean but the outside needed some work. A little bit of work as place could be exceptional. The value for the area was good. Chose because they were dog friendly.

Blinds on door were broken so anyone could see in. Door would not lock when we left the area. Internet for the television is horrible. We come to Herman 8 times a year and we would not recommend this location.

The mildew/musty smell hits you as soon as you walk in; they really need a dehumidifier. The sheets did not fit the bed and kept coming off. No closet and no hooks for anything-coats, hangers, robes etc Sound did not work on TV

We stayed in the converted garage space and while it has some really nice touches, there are a few things to be aware of before booking. The biggest issue was the strong mold and mildew smell (some old gas iil smells from its previous stint as a garage); if you have allergies or sensitivities, this might not be the best fit.Saturday night was rough once the wind picked up; acorns from the nearby tree hit the metal roof all night long, making it really hard to sleep or relax. The lack of central heat was another concern when temps dropped into the 30s. The fireplace didn’t function properly, so the only source of heat was a small space heater in the bathroom — surprisingly, it kept things reasonably warm, but it’s not ideal for colder nights.Now for the positives: the bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower was huge (though the water pressure was a bit low), and the backyard hot tub was absolutely fantastic. The patio furniture made for a nice spot to unwind, and the “his and hers” sinks were a great touch. The host was very responsive and kind. There’s a Keurig and coffee provided, though no creamer or sweetener (so bring your own), but there’s a bakery just a few blocks away if you want to grab breakfast.Overall, we loved some parts of the space but would recommend it more for mild-weather stays and for guests who aren’t sensitive to strong odors or loud noise.
