  • De meest "5 sterren" # 1 gerangschikte vakantie & zakelijke huurwoning op het prachtige Lake Gaston! Dit huis is gelegen in het meest gezochte gebied van het meer. Deze nieuwe constructie woning biedt alle voorzieningen die u maar kunt wensen en nog veel meer! Er zijn drie afzonderlijke verdiepingen en elke verdieping heeft een eigen complete keuken! Het biedt ook een bubbelbad en een aparte sauna voor onze gasten buiten het seizoen. Het is gelegen op een enorm privé bosrijk terrein en is centraal gelegen nabij de monding van onze beroemde "Pea Hill Creek" en Washburn's Marina. Het komt ook met een enorm dubbel botenhuis en een gigantisch "party deck" hierboven! De locatie is perfect voor reizigers buiten de stad, die op slechts 10 mijl van de afrit Roanoke Rapids liggen, waardoor het een A-Plus is voor alle reizigers uit zowel Noord- als Zuid-locaties. Het ligt aan het NO-kwadrant van het meer van Gaston. Golfen is in de buurt voor diegenen die dol zijn op de uitdaging om een kleine bal te slaan in een klein gaatje op grote afstand! We bieden twee pontonboten, vele kajaks, paddletenurfen en alle werfspellen aan al onze gasten. We bieden korting op onze boten, kajaks en paddleboards, wat het leuk maakt door de tijdsbetrekking die nodig is om dit te doen via externe bedrijven te elimineren. We had a blast here at lake Gaston. Our family of 25-31 people get together every 2 years and this location fit us perfectly. Plenty of room to spread out into separate groups while also having room to all come together nightly for games and chatting.

We had a group of 20+ family and friends staying at tropical paradise. We had an awesome time! Sondra and Lupita were friendly and very easy to work with. Would definitely recommend staying at this property.

Had the best time with all my friends at this house! We love how every room was different and loved the game room! We were in the poker room every night and on the dock every day! The check in and check out was super easy to make out stay that much better. The owners are very kind and generous. The house was super clean the beds were very comfortable!

The house is in need of a deep clean - lots of spider webs and debris. The shower towels were small and the sheets (that we had to pay extra to rent) were microfiber and not cotton. The septic system alarm went off and required two visits from a repair company, one of which was a surprise on Saturday morning. The house itself is massive and has lots of space for larger groups and the dock is great for swimming.

Great Getaway!

Myself, family and friends had an amazing time making memories at Tropical Paradise. The house was perfect for our group of all ages from the little ones to teens and adults. The owner was amazing and the best communication I’ve had thus far!

A relaxing place to work together

We gathered for the annual retreat for our arts organization to celebrate a successful 2022 and begin planning our activities in 2023. This location was very spacious and relaxing. It met all of our needs for gathering and discussion during the day and recreation in the evening. Big thanks to the wonderful host!

Spacious and great location

This is a huge house with ample space for a large family with a lot of children. Amazing location, dock and yard located on a great small cove just off the main lot. Owner was very accommodating and quick to try to resolve issues that we had. Was a great space for our family.

Just spent another amazing week at Tropical Paradise with friends and family. The location is perfect being close to Washburns marina for the younger kids daily milkshake runs and off the main lake just enough to float all day peacefully! The game room and loft area is perfect for kids ranging from 6-26 and never feels overcrowded. The owner is amazing and checks in frequently to make sure all is well. We are already planning next summers trip to Tropical Paradise again!

Lake perfection

This home has everything! My brother and I take our families every other year to the beach or lake. This home was perfect for all the different ages and so comfortable. Large kitchen and living areas, great for a large group. I would highly recommend this rental. The hostess is always available to answer questions if needed. The amount of amenities was incredible.

We had the most FANTASTIC weekend! The location on the lake was absolutely beautiful, perfect for swimming, and the house had everything we needed for a large group.We had 34 people, and one of the things we appreciated most was how many different spaces there were for people to gather, relax, or step away when they needed a quieter moment. It made the house feel comfortable and manageable even with a big group.The amenities were also perfect for hosting. There were so many games, lake floaties, multiple TVs, two full kitchens, three refrigerators, and plenty of space for food, drinks, and activities. It really felt like the house was set up to handle a group our size.Sondra was also very helpful and connected us with someone who could deliver wood for the bonfire, which made planning even easier. She also chatted with me before the big weekend to answer my questions and make sure we had everything we needed. All in all, it was a beautiful, well-equipped home and the perfect place for such a special weekend. We would absolutely recommend it.

Fabulous Vacation!

There were 16 family members and this house was perfect! Lots of room to enjoy ping pong, air hockey and of course, floating in the lake visiting with everyone! Location was wonderful…easy to get to the main lake. The owner might just be my new best friend…she was so sweet and outgoing! Appreciate the responsiveness of Lupita in answering questions and getting the house ready! We have been doing these family vacations for over 20 years and this was the best ever! Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would suggest that there be some instructions for the pontoon boat. It was not the typical put in key and go. Once that issue was resolved we enjoyed our outing on the lake Bees were a problem suggest you bring spray

Large family reunion.

This spacious house was perfect for our large family to stay for a few nights. The house has enough beds and fully equipped kitchen for everyone. The view of the lake is beautiful and there are tons of activities to do depending on the season. We enjoyed the hot tub and taking a walk around the area. The huge kids room and game room was a big hit amongst the kids. The owners are very responsive and easy to communicate with. The house could be better organized and way less cluttered. Other than that, we had a great time and would recommend for large groups.

Great for big group of “kids”

Great house for families. Enough space and separation for both the kids and adults. The top floor was perfect for all children to sleep and play. The basement was great for the adults, the poker room was bigger than shown in the pictures. Main floor had the big kitchen, which was big enough for several people to work it at the same time and was fully stocked. We were lucky with the weather in December, so also got full use the fire pit, the dock and the kayaks. Owner was very responsive, answering our questions right away.

Memorable week

Despite Hurricane Debbie trying to put a damper on our stay, our group still managed to have a great time at our annual Lake Gaston trip. The house in itself was in a great location and had easy access to the stores nearby. Other than a few less than comfortable beds and lack of storage/pantry for a week long stay, the house had all the amenities and room to accommodate our large group. It never felt like we were on top of one another. Sonya and Lupita were very communicative throughout the whole process and that was most appreciated.

Best location on the lake

This house was perfect for our extended family of 23 people. (17 adults and 6 kids). Communication with the owner, Sondra, was easy and prompt. The amenities offered at Tropical Paradise made packing for this annual trip, a lot easier than in past years. Here are things we didn't have to pack by staying here. Bath towels, bed sheets, paddle boards, kayaks, extra cookware, outdoor lawn chairs. Sondra really wants to make your experience a dream, and does a great job providing everything you need. She gave us the tools, and we made it happen. In the 13 years we have been making this trip, this house had, by far, the most to offer. Thank you Sondra.

Avoid like the Plaque.....or the worms on the bottom floor

Property ID 1163051, Titled” 7500 sq ft, 20+Beds Kayaks/Paddle boards for rent on location- Pets Welcome!” First off, my family and I are accustomed to taking week-long vacations and have done so for over 20 years; I have left reviews for almost every place. I have never had to write a review such as this – so much to say. Grab a beer, this will be a long one. I want the reader (you) to understand my frustrations with this place so that you are better prepared for the experiences you will encounter when you rent it. Secondly, I should tell you that we are your typical middle-class family, comprised of approx. 18 people. None of us are the fancy, “I’m better than you” type, nor can we afford to be. We all save our money each year to experience one week-long get away per year. This property was our destination this year – I’m sad that our memories are already tarnished by the filth discovered within this property. Here is my listing of issues encountered: Bottom floor: 1. Bottom floor was completely covered in these small caterpillar-like creatures. We picked up a few the first day and by the end of the trip, there was literally 100’s of them. Each bedroom and bathroom and kitchenette had them crawling all over. Main Floor: 1. Main floor kitchen, one bottom drawer is broken and doesn’t slide in – deff don’t pull it out. 2. Main Floor kitchen Ice maker in the door doesn’t work and never produced a single cube while we were there. 3. False Eyelashes were left on the counter in the main floor’s bathroom by previous guests (health hazard.) 4. Under cabinet lights in main kitchen area are wired unprofessionally, drape down and lack any means to turn them on or off. 5. Sunroom doorknob doesn’t latch. You must use the deadbolt to keep the door closed. 6. The sunroom AC never worked while we were there and was turned into a storage room as it was unusable for normal 7. Grill on main floor was very dirty and debris in bottom of grill caught on fire and had to be extinguished. We had to clean the grill before we could use it. 8. Main floor kitchen was absolutely disgusting upon arrival and required us to clean several dishes upon arrival. Counters and glass table had obviously been gone over with a dirty sponge or washcloth. Hand and fingerprints all over the table made it hard to believe it had been cleaned at all. 9. Multiple stools on the main floor have either loose or missing bolts and are very wobbly.
