'We loved our stay at Refugio del Volcan. We’ve been travelling through Central America for c 8 weeks and this accommodation stands out as one of the best. We had the apartment unit at the top, which has the most incredible views of the lake! The accommodation was very comfortable and quiet at night for a great night sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and nice hot shower in the bathroom. It’s a fair distance from San Pedro town centre but walkable, and very easy to get a Tuktuk to and from...

'Staff was so welcoming. I was surprised when I saw them meeting us down at the parking lot (2 of them) giving us a warm welcome and offering to carry luggage/bags. Room had a great view of the lake and volcanos, bedding was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Entire room was so spacious. Breakfast was nice as well with a combination of many things we liked. Food and drinks were great. To top it all is the view of Lake Atitlan and the volcanos from the infinity pool. That is magical.'
