The house was very clean and tidy. The check-in was seamless. We attended our son’s wedding in a nearby town. It was nice to venture out to some local establishments before leaving. It was really nice to be able drink our coffee in the morning watching the wildlife outside the patio window (chipmunks playing & a small deer grazing in early mornings). The area was quiet and relaxing. This location was perfect for privacy/seclusion. We were extremely happy and hope to return someday.

Unit was clean and AC was running when we arrived. Kitchen stocked with essentials, plenty of bedding for both the bedroom and the sleeper sofa. Smooth check-in and no troubles with anything during the stay.

Clean and tidy. We had torrential rain and massive winds so there were service interruptions to internet but be reasonable, hosts cannot manage the weather! That brought out flying insects - which are expected as it's a rural property! All in all, an excellent and communicative host and a great stay.

Great stay! Beautiful view of the river with dining table available on back porch. Look for the bare tree to catch a glimpse of a bald eagle if you are lucky. Nice to have the firepit near the river. Don't forget to go into Hastings to The Cookie Shop with daily selections and a different lunch option each day. Several other cute shops in town. Nice that they provided "in case you forgot" extras. When you book the place it says duplex B. The rental is separated from their house with a garage between, so you really are alone, but share the driveway.

We were in and out. Wish we could have stayed longer. It seemed like a real nice place to hang out. The river is beautiful. I did appreciate cookware available to make breakfast.

This place is amazing! The house was clean. Everything we needed was there. The host was very quick with responses and very kind! The atmosphere was perfect! The river and nature sounds were exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely be back when the river is back down to do some canoeing. Thank you for the relaxing stay!!

Adorable place exactly as described and shown in pictures. Beautiful view outside the back sliding doors. Hosts have great communication and the unit was very clean with amenities that many VRBO hosts don’t provide. Will definitely book this unit again.

The space was incredibly clean and exactly as pictured in the photos! We were able to easily check in, enjoy a fire during the evening, and slept incredibly well on the cozy bed. :) Our hosts could not have been lovelier or easier to reach via messaging - thank you!!!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, and inviting. It was well stocked. Kids games, camp chairs and a speaker for outside, linens, cooking utensils, and more. The bathroom had frosted glass, but no curtain. And my wife found it uncomfortably transparent. The mattress was comfortable. And they even have a pack and play for babies. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

My wife and I and our yellow lab Zoe, loved our stay at your beautiful river cottage! The river is so calm and peaceful and best of all, it can be enjoyed from the back patio, or up close and personal if you are adventurous. Little thoughtful touches have been added to all rooms allowing every guest to relax and enjoy! We stayed for four nights but wished we could have stayed longer! We look forward to visiting again .Thank you for a memorable stay!

The highlight for us was the backyard deck overlooking the river and the fire pit area, where we spent our evenings unwinding after a day of touring. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful, with neighbors who respected the tranquility of the area.The listing was accurate, the space was spotless, and every amenity described was exactly as advertised — no surprises, just a smooth and comfortable stay. The host was also a standout — responsive and communicative throughout, which always makes a trip feel more relaxed.For couples looking for a getaway that blends a relaxing atmosphere with easy access to nearby towns, this is a great pick.
