'Easy parking at the back of the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and mine was quiet. Pity you can't charge anything to your room e.g. drinks, etc. Breakfast has everything you wish for. Nice croissants as well. Not the first time I stayed here, so hope to be back soon.'

Parking was easy too with a large parking space that had room to get out two children with car seats. Extra parking available at the bottom of the road. '

'Een bijzondere ervaring, dat was het. Mede door het warme en gastvrije onthaal door de vrouw des huizes. Het landhuis zelf is oud, maar van binnen met veel smaak opgeknapt en gemeubileerd. Het heeft alle comfort, maar ademt tegelijk de sfeer van Downton Abbey. Onze kamer had een prachtig uitzicht op de enorme tuin en het bos daarachter en het grootste en beste bed van al onze Engelse logies. Van harte aanbevolen!'

'Hotels in the UK can be a bit old or outdated, this is a good example. Don't get me wrong, the location is nice (Gold Hill is around the corner) and it's on a roundabout so you can't really miss it. But for nearly 200 euro, I have to say it's a bit overpriced. Yes it was high season and so on but still. Good things are, it's clean, it has a pool. Not so good, outdated a bit, it can get quite warm inside the room as there is no airco or fan in the room itself. Opening a window is good idea...

'Wij zijn hier geweest tijdens de kerstdagen, vanaf t moment dat we binnenstapte was de sfeer al heel 'Christmassy'. Alsof je in een Agatha Christie film stapte. Warm ontvangst met zelfgemaakte gluhwein en vers gebakken Mince pies. Het hotel had leuke kerst activiteiten, zalig eten vooral de high tea. Een mooie spa, groot zwembad, hot bubbelbad en fijne sauna zorgde voor de totale ontspannen sfeer. We willen hier graag nog een keer kerst vieren. (Vergeet dan niet de kerst nachtmis in Salisbury...
