Aegis Villa - You won't want to leave!!

The Caribbean style and ambiance of Aegis is special. The spacious veranda of this top floor of the house offers stunning views -a the place to chill and enjoy the cool trade winds. You are going to love the close proximity to the Marina, Rodney Bay area, Pigeon Island, beaches, restaurants and supermarkets. Located on a private dead end road with great neighbors, it's a quiet place. Your Superhost has excellent knowledge of the island and is there to assist and recommend.

For Cricket fans we are located 15 mins drive from the Darren Sammy Cricket Stadium in Beausejour. For Jazz Festival fans we are very close to the heart of all Jazz activities.

While 7 day bookings are the preferred booking, guests can book a 5 day stay which is available all year around except during Christmas and events such as The Jazz Festival and Carnival - these would all be 7 night minimum stays. Come and stay at Aegis even longer - we offer a 35% discount for a month long stay.

Val your host will suggest to her guests switching to communicate by Whattsapp prior to arrival and whilst on island using WIFI. Guests often have many questions and this makes for an easier way to communicate.

Recommended is a taxi transfer from the airport to Aegis - we will put you in touch with Southern Taxi Association at UVF Airport.

Hosted by a Super Host this 2000 sq ft. top floor level of a 2 story house has stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, the Marina and Pigeon Island. Located on a private residential road, This spacious top floor apartment has its own gated entrance with covered garage right at the front door. Location is key with this property being just 2 minutes drive or a 15 minute walk to the Marina & Rodney Bay.

Check in is my lockbox entry - a gate remote is also left in the lockbox for those renting a car. The lockbox code and directions/pictures will be sent to you a few days before arrival to assist you to find Aegis easily.

There are notes in the binder as to Wi-Fi password, garbage collection, recommended restaurants, tours and places to go.

For your arrival we put in a comp fruit basket. The kitchen is stocked with condiments such as salt and pepper, cooking oil etc. as is the laundry room. The linen cupboard has lots of bath and beach towels and there are a couple of beach chairs.

You can ask your taxi driver to stop at a Massy Supermarket on the way to Aegis - the one at Baywalk Mall is the better one. On arrival at the house there is the option to head out to the Marina where there are 5 restaurants to choose from and a great Boardwalk bar. In the Marina is The Market a small supermarket or there are 3 Massy Supermarkets all in close proximity.
You are going to love the closeness (10 minute walk) of 7th Heaven at Hilton Harbor Club which has delicious Swiss pastries, breads and great coffee with full breakfast and lunch available - just a 10 minute walk.

At the entrance to the property there is an electric gate, the property is gated and fenced, side gate entrance, parking available in open sided covered garage right at your front door.

Various adapters for cell phones etc. are available to you.

Garbage collection days are Monday and Thursday - just a matter of putting the bin out on the side of the road before 9am - sometimes the truck comes early, then bringing the bin back in later on.

All bedrooms/lounge & Kitchen are all mosquito screened. Bedrooms all have AC with new inverter AC units.

Bedroom 1: 2 single beds - AC - large windows, plenty cupboard space.

Bedroom 2: queen bed - AC & Ceiling fan - large windows with good cupboard space.

Bedroom 1 and 2 share a large spacious bathroom, rain shower.

Master Bedroom: King bed, ensuite bathroom with his & her sinks , very large pebble stone rain shower. Spacious walk in closet with lots of shelves and cupboards. AC in the bedroom + ceiling fan. There is a small balcony.

This property is situated on top of the hill which gives you the incredible views.

There is an active Neighborhood Watch with great neighbors so you are in a very safe neighborhood. We ask for quiet guests. Your host may reside on the ground floor from time to time.

We recognize that some of our guests have family or friends on island. By all means invite them over for a visit to enjoy the sunset on the veranda but note our house rule: No additional guests for sleep overs are permitted.

The majority of our guests are walkers, some do rent a car. Info for our walkers:
Approximate time from Aegis to:
* Reduit Beach - 30 mins - you can catch a bus on the main road to Rodney Bay junction and walk 10 mins to the beach.
* Massey Rodney Heights supermarket - 20 mins
* Massey Gourmet (bigger & better supermarket) at Baywalk Mall - 25 mins walk or there is the bus stop available at the main road. There are taxis available for a ride back.
* The Marina - 15 mins
* 7th Heaven Swiss bakery - great place for breakfast/lunch - 10 mins
* Pigeon Island National Park - 1 hr 35 mins or you can walk to the Marina and catch a taxi from there and arrange with the driver to pick you up at a certain time. There is also a water taxi service from the Marina - contact info is in the information binder.
