'Gurung's Home has truly become my home away from home. I stay here - nowhere else! - whenever i'm in Kathmandu. The staff is the family, and they are so welcoming, and able to help me with my transportation issues. It is a little bit hard for the taxis to find the address, because Google Maps directs them to a pedestrian street. But about five minutes out of the way, and you can find it. The location is cool because the bustling city is right nearby, but the hotel is on a quiet side street....

'A hotel with an elevator and a lovely restaurant/bar and dipping pool the size of a hot tub on the roof top. I also saw a sauna and steam room but I didn’t try them out. There was a very small gym but it was located by the rooftop restaurant and elevator and had a glass wall that really gave the impression of very much being on display while working out. 'Wij waren een week in Kathmandu. Het Crowne Plaza hotel ligt op een afgescheiden ommuurde eigen terrein, wat een oase van rust opleverde in een anders zeer chaotische stad. Lekker om een beetje bij te komen. Het hotel heeft een aantal prima restaurants. De kwalitiet, maar ook de prijzen daar zijn wel gewoon ' westers'. De service is uitstekend. 'A very good stay in Kathmandu! The staff is very helpful - and we felt very well treated by them during our visit. E.g. we had been on a morning Mountain flight, where they had given us a breakfast package. They also gave us breakfast when we got back from the flight. The rooms are comfy and the breakfast is fully OK - and with superb coffee. We definitely recommend this hotel!'
