Our stay at Blue Hues was spectacular; the property is even more beautiful than the photos. Both the main house and guest house were immaculately clean. As a group that loves to cook, we were thrilled with the kitchen and outdoor grill, which were well-stocked with every tool and spice needed. The grill was high-quality and in excellent condition. We also loved the living area, the cabinet is packed with games like Connect Four and Monopoly!The grounds are lush with tropical foliage, peacocks, and hummingbirds. The location is perfect, close to grocery stores and Georgetown, yet felt incredibly secluded. We spent a lot of time at the semi-private beach, seeing only a handful of people. It was the perfect backdrop for a private New Year’s celebration under the moonlight.Some Highlights: Beach & Gear: Semi-private with great shade. Rick has thought of everything—the garage is stocked with chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, and kayaks. Pool: A clean, sparkling, and well-maintained spot to relax. Balcony: Elevated with stunning views. As an amateur astronomer, it was the perfect spot for my astrophotography telescope. This is a Bortle Class 3 area; the Milky Way is prominent during a new moon!Beyond the home, Rick is an exceptional host. His communication was flawless and he is a genuinely kind person. I enjoyed chatting with him a few times about shared interests, making me feel like a welcomed friend. If you want a peaceful, well-equipped getaway, this is it!
