Why pay resort fees/parking and wait for what seems like hours for an elevator to stay in a condo, when you can have your very own beach house. We are centrally located to all the main attractions in Galveston and only 2 blocks from the Beach, Seawall Blvd and the Historic Pleasure Pier. You can hear the waves crashing from your front porch. All the great restaurants are within walking distance. Roll your beach wagon and boogie boards right from the front steps of your home to the beach.

The house was conveniently located near the beach and Pleasure Pier as described. There was a wonderful park near by.Everything was clean and welcoming when we arrived. And the check in process was clear.This is a wonderful place to stay if you want a quiet neighborhood near the beach. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable and welcoming with charming decor. It truly is only about 3 short blocks to the beach with nearby dining, ice cream, & entertainment options. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking and we made appreciative use of the washer & dryer. Our dog loved the fenced in yard - so wonderful to drink coffee on the front porch watching her wander around sniffing & sunbathing. Evan responded within minutes every time. A minor maintenance glitch was fixed within 15 minutes. The house was a wonderful home base for the beach life and all that Galveston has to offer.

We’ve stayed in many homes over the yearly visits here, but this was by far my favorite location wise. You can see the pleasure pier just down the street and can easily walk to the beach in a few minutes. The house had everything basic we needed and a little yard for my dog to use the bathroom easily and conveniently. Would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing stay. The house is very charming. The front door code wouldn't work when we first arrived but the owners were very fast to fix it. Pleasure Pier was a 5 min walk and that sure beat paying 15 to park. The AC works great and the front deck is a great upgrade. Would definitely rent again.

Cozy beach cottage

We stayed here for a long weekend and enjoyed the beach. It was as just a short walk and super convenient to get the Pleasure Pier area by foot and not have to worry about parking. The house was cute with everything we needed. Host tried to let us check in early but we didn’t end up needing to. Would book again!

Overall okay

Overall the stay was okay, I had let the owners know we would be checking in late but I never received the check in information and they had said they would be sending it in the morning. Never received instructions so I had to text super late that evening. Then when we arrived we were not told the off street parking was super small we managed to fit but a heads up would be have great. It was freezing in the home, so had to figure out where heaters were or if they worked. The stove/oven wasn't working and the fridge was off and warm. When I texted the owners I did tell them not to worry about it but still frustrating when you come with food.As for location to pier it was great. There were issues on the street that the house was located on but that isn't something the owners can control. Overall it fit for our little family but not what we had in mind from the pictures.

My husband and I loved staying at this adorable little home with our dog! Chill beachy decor, front porch, and small fenced yard filled with tropical plants were all perfect for us. Great location with short walk to the beach and longer but very doable walk to the strand! We were a little thrown off by a delayed checkin time and had to improvise a bit, but the owner was in frequent communication and all turned out fine. We really enjoy Galveston and had a lovely stay here! Thanks!

Très jolie maison

Nous avons passé un très bon week-end sur Gavelston. La maison est très fonctionnelle, très joliment décorée (mention spéciale de notre fille qui ADORE la décoration), très bien équipée (lave et sèche-linge, grille-pain, machine à café K-cup avec des dosettes,…). La maison est proche de la plage surveillée (5-6 minutes à pied) et d’un ponton d’attraction (manège avec roller-coster,…). Plusieurs state park à proximité dont celui de Brazos. Parking sur place dans l’allée. Et si malgré tout vous voulez rester à la maison (c’est vrai qu’on s’y sent vraiment chez soi) il y a à disposition Netflix, Disney Channel,… Les check-in et out sont simples. Les échanges avec les propriétaires très sympathiques. Bref si nous devions revenir à Gavelston nous n’hésiterions pas.

Loved this place. It was conveniently located near every place we needed to go. Very close walk to the seawall and pleasure pier. Each morning we went out for a run along the seawall. The property owner was very responsive to messages/questions.
