Welcome to Gulf Sunshine, a charming, updated condo at The Victorian on Galveston’s Seawall, directly across from beautiful Babe’s Beach. Whether planning a family vacation, weekend escape, Winter Texan stay, temporary work assignment, or extended visit, Gulf Sunshine offers a comfortable home base with beautiful Gulf views and wonderful shared amenities. A Comfortable Stay for Up to 5 Guests

Gulf Sunshine is thoughtfully arranged to accommodate up to five guests in a compact, comfortable space.



Your sleeping arrangements include:



Master bedroom: A comfortable queen-size bed.

Living room: A queen-size sleeper sofa.

Hallway alcove: A twin daybed with a brand-new mattress, tucked into its own cozy nook.

Fresh linens are provided, and all beds are made before your arrival. No need to bring your own sheets or arrange linen rentals!



We provide one bath towel, one washcloth, and one hand towel for each of the five guests our condo accommodates.



Please remember that everyone counts toward the occupancy limit, regardless of age or sleeping arrangements. Infants and children are included in the maximum occupancy of five guests.



Balcony Views, Beach Days & Poolside Fun

One of the best features of Gulf Sunshine is its location! The condo sits directly across Seawall Boulevard from Babe’s Beach, making it easy to enjoy the sand, surf, and spectacular Gulf views.



The balcony features bar-height furniture, giving you a wonderful vantage point to watch the waves and keep an eye on the little ones. Relax with your morning coffee, enjoy an afternoon breeze, or wind down in the evening while taking in the coastal scenery.



The Victorian condominium complex offers shared amenities, including:



Two swimming pools, with one heated seasonally.

Two hot tubs.

A fitness center.

A tennis court.

Outdoor picnic and barbecue areas, including BBQ pergolas.

A fish-cleaning station.

Multiple outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the coastal atmosphere.

These facilities are shared with other guests and residents of the complex.



For your convenience, traffic signals at both ends of the nearby beach crossing help make getting to Babe’s Beach easier.



A Kitchen Designed for Easy Vacation Meals

Eating out is part of the fun in Galveston, but sometimes it’s nice to stay in, save a little money, or enjoy a relaxed family meal.



Our renovated kitchen features:



A full-size refrigerator and freezer.

A new dishwasher.

A countertop oven.

Kitchen essentials for preparing simple meals and snacks.

Warm up leftovers from one of Galveston’s many wonderful restaurants, prepare breakfast before heading to the beach, or make popcorn for a movie night.



We provide a small starter supply of essentials, including paper towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, dishwashing supplies, a trash bag, and coffee. These supplies are intended to help you get settled, not to last for the entire stay. You can stock up on anything else your group needs at nearby stores.



Relax and Unwind

After a day of exploring the island, settle into the living room and enjoy the updated 55-inch TV with Roku and access to streaming services such as Netflix.



Many of our televisions are smart TVs, so remember to bring your login information for your favorite subscription services. Please sign out of your personal accounts before checking out.



The bathroom has also been refreshed with a new vanity, custom shiplap woodwork, updated lighting, and coastal-inspired decor. The full tub-and-shower combination is especially convenient for families traveling with little ones.



A Convenient Location on Galveston's Seawall

You’ll love having so much close by!



The Victorian is located on Seawall Boulevard, directly across from Babe’s Beach. A large big-box retailer is right next door, and nearby restaurants offer convenient options for sandwiches, barbecue, and other casual meals.



You can enjoy much of the area without a car. Depending on your plans, transportation options include:



Walking to the beach, nearby shopping, and local eateries.

Public transportation.

Local taxi services.

Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft.

Meal delivery through services such as Uber Eats and DoorDash.

Whether you're here for beach time, local attractions, shopping, dining, or simply relaxing by the water, Gulf Sunshine makes a convenient home base for your Galveston getaway.



Parking, Resort & Amenity Fee

Like many condominium complexes and hotels in Galveston, The Victorian charges a separate parking, resort, and amenity fee. This fee is collected directly by the condominium complex at check-in, not by the condo owner or My Galveston Getaway.



The current fee schedule is:



Stays of 1–7 consecutive nights: $40 plus applicable tax.

Stays of 8–31 days: $80 plus applicable tax.

Extended stays: $80 plus applicable tax per month.

The fee includes up to two parking permits. Payment is made directly to The Victorian upon arrival; we cannot collect or prepay this fee on your behalf.



At check-in, the complex will provide your parking permit and applicable access information, which may include wristbands, vehicle and pedestrian gate codes, pool and amenity access codes, and the complex-wide Wi-Fi password. Wi-Fi codes change monthly.



Please factor this additional fee into your vacation budget.



Laundry & Beach Towels

There are several pay-per-use laundry facilities located throughout The Victorian. These facilities accept credit and debit cards. Please note that there is no washer or dryer inside the condo.



We do not provide complimentary beach towels, but customized beach towels are available to rent for $35 for 5 towels for the duration of your stay. A credit card is required in case a rented towel is not returned. The replacement charge is $25 per towel.



Please bring your own beach towels or let us know if you would like to rent ours.



A Few Helpful Housekeeping Notes

We want you to spend your time enjoying Galveston, not worrying about a long checkout cleaning list!



Although a broom, dustpan, mop, and bucket are available, we do not expect you to clean the condo before leaving or strip the beds.



We simply ask that you:



Remove all food and garbage from the condo and refrigerator.

Leave the space reasonably tidy.

Lock the door behind you when you leave.

Share any favorite restaurants, shops, attractions, or excursions you discovered so future guests can enjoy them, too!

If you've spent time at the beach, please use the outdoor showers near the pool when convenient and shake sand from your towels before bringing them inside. If sand makes its way into the condo, a quick sweep is appreciated. Sand can make floors slippery, and we want everyone to stay safe.



Booking, Check-In & Communication

We want your arrival to be smooth and stress-free.



After your reservation is confirmed, you’ll receive a link to complete our rental agreement. In addition to the information collected by your booking platform, we request:



Your personal email address.

The names and ages of everyone staying in the condo.

Driver’s license information.

An emergency contact.

Please complete the agreement promptly so we can send your arrival instructions on time.



Approximately 3–5 days before arrival, we'll email driving directions and check-in instructions directly to the guest who made the reservation. We’ll follow up with a phone call 24–48 hours later to confirm that you received everything, verify the access code, and answer any last-minute questions.



Because we want you to feel comfortable and prepared, we let you know about this follow-up in advance. If you receive a call from us, it's simply part of our effort to make sure you have what you need for a smooth check-in.



Once you're settled in, we generally give our guests the privacy to enjoy their stay. However, we're available if questions come up or you need assistance. We’re happy to help!



Helping Our Air Conditioning & Heating Work Their Best

To keep the HVAC system operating efficiently and comfortably throughout your stay, our HVAC professionals recommend the following:



Adjust the thermostat by no more than 3 degrees per hour.

During summer, do not set the air conditioning below 70°F.

During winter, do not set the heat above 74°F.

Keep the fan setting on AUTO.

Turn off the HVAC system when doors or windows are open.

Maintain no more than a 20-degree difference between outdoor and indoor temperatures.

Pets, Smoking & Property Rules

To help keep Gulf Sunshine comfortable for everyone, please be aware of these property policies:



Pets: The Victorian does not permit renters to bring pets. If you're traveling with a dog or another pet, please explore other My Galveston Getaway properties that welcome dogs. Qualifying service animals are an exception, although the complex may request appropriate verification. Emotional support animals are not treated as service animals for short-term vacation rentals under the property's stated policy.



Smoking and vaping: All properties managed by My Galveston Getaway are 100% smoke-free and vape-free.



Occupancy: The maximum occupancy for Gulf Sunshine is five people, including infants and children.



Thank you for respecting these rules and helping us maintain a pleasant environment for all guests and residents.



A Little About Coastal Weather

Galveston is a beautiful barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico, and coastal weather is part of island life. Rainstorms, thunderstorms, tropical weather, and occasional hurricanes can affect the area. Severe weather can sometimes cause temporary power or Wi-Fi outages.
