Very upset with this property! It was dirty, the beds had sand in them. Sand and ice all in the kitchen sink. Smells musty. Mold all in the upstairs bathroom. The water was yellow. Bottom stairs toilet leaks water so did the kitchen sink. The top balcony was a mess. Broken furniture everywhere couldn’t even go out on it. Under the house on the concrete was covered in construction debris and broken glass. The furniture was funky old and smelled. The porch was covered in dog urine…I am guessing the property manager maybe? She had 3 larger male dogs with her at the time of checking in. Definitely would not recommend!

OCEAN MIST BEACH HOUSE

The sleeping arrangements were very tight for the adults. We had some hitting their heads on the bunks above them whenever they tried to get out of bed. Getting the key out of the lock box was a challenge. There was no grill brush to clean the grill. Loved the location of the house. In short walking distance of the beach. All in All it was a pleasant stay.

Owner and property manager scamming

Please DO NOT lease any property from the owner of these houses. It is a SET UP. His houses are known to be rented during Prom season, he is aware of this, because he called me to stop the payment through VRBO so I could pay him more money directly. I should have known better because the whole thing did not feel right since the beginning. To start with, he never sent check in or check out instructions, I had to contact him a couple of hour prior to check in. He just provided a code. The houses were in good shape. Not complain at all. A few things like the fire alarm had low power and alarms were on, specially during the night, and the sink crusher not working. Minor things. On the second night, we noticed the AC did not work in one of the houses the whole time, we had not needed all this time because the weather was ok, until the last night, but did not want to make a big deal about it. Anyway, the owner set up a video and wants to stay with the deposit plus charging more. He is claiming that we removed the AC batteries, that there were human feces in the floor, he cluggled his own bathroom. This guy or his property manager are big scammers. We left the property in very good shape. Let's remember that I also paid a cleaning fee. The 20 people that stay in there plus the other people in the other house will start leaving a review for the extortion we are being victims of.

Grand Beach Get Away

My daughters, daughter-in-law, 10 grandkids and myself stayed 4 nights/5 days at the Ocean Mist. The beachview was nice and the walk to the beach was closer than expected. It probably only took about 2 minutes to walk the very short distance to the beach. Although the beach was very busy on Sunday, the rest of our visit the beach area relaxing. We enjoyed sunrise and sunset walks, swimming and jumping waves, collecting seashells, building sandcastles and relaxing under our beach umbrella. Ocean Mist is a gorgeous beach house and our crew of 14 had a blast. We were comfortable and made many core memories together. Our crew is big on playing games together. We loved having the space to play. The chairs at the table were missing and that was a slight inconvenience, however our crew made it work. There is a long bench on one side of the table and there was an adequate number of barstools. In the kitchen, there are essentials, coffee pot, toaster…etc. We brought a huge skillet to use. We purchased paper products, including extra napkins, paper towels and trash bags. The bathrooms were supplied adequately with toilet paper. The color scheme throughout the house is phenomenal! The beds were comfortable and the grands enjoyed their bunk beds. The shower in the master bathroom was big and had a huge rain shower head! Most of the grands took showers in it just because it was such a fun experience. The beach view from the master bedroom was also very nice!

Wonderful Stay

The pictures do no do this beach house justice. Beautifully decorated and spacious. The beds are extremely comfortable and the host is very accommodating. I will be renting from them again.

Perfect Vacation

We really put this listing to the test. We had 21 people total & we all slept great & had an amazing vacation together. Perfect location, great big kitchen for cooking big meals, lots of seating room. We knew the bunk beds would be a tight fit but the beds were super comfy & overall it was a great experience. The host was really great at fast reply’s if/when I needed to reach out. The best vacation I’ve been on so far & im so glad we went with this property. There were plenty of things to do within an hour drive, a short walk down the road to the beach, grocery stores are close to be able to get everything you need. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Excellent House for Large Groups

This house is perfect for a large group. Plenty of beds, dishes, and seating. The walk to the beach was short and super convenient. The host responded promptly to communications. We loved our week at Ocean Mist.

Very spacious

We have a big family so the open concept and outdoor living space was perfect. The bunk beds are too tight for adults to be comfortable and with kids the bunk have no rails. One of my nieces fell off in the middle of the night. We also felt the dining room table needed a bench on both sides. It only had sitting on one side of the table. But overall we had a great time and with it being so close to the beach we could go back and forth easily.

We had our expectations met completely.

We had a group age ranging from 6 to 70. Everyone was more than happy with the accommodations. The beds were clean and comfortable. Everything worked with appliances except the dryer had just gone out. They brought more towels and linens on the second day in case we needed them.

weekend getaway

Property is as listed. Numerous rooms/sleeping areas and spacious living/dining area. Kitchen well equipped. Porch swing was a nice touch. Property is walking distance to the beach. Everything was good except were told not to use the dryer because of an issue with the vent. At check-in, we were told someone was going to come by and 'fix' and if maintenance doesn't come, contact property manager and 'she will take care of it personally'. Texted and called property manager and owner but no timely response except an email on the day of our checkout. Main bedroom pillows were a bit musty. Though I wish communication was a little bit better, overall, we enjoyed our stay and I recommend the property for families who want to enjoy the beach at Surfside.

Relaxing vacation stay

We loved this house. Loved the layout. Plenty of room to move around without feeling on top of each other when with a large group. Great location to places to eat and grocery shopping. The beach was crazy packed but that could have been due to this being the last summer weekend before school starts. Would highly recommend staying here.

This property offered the proximity to the beach, space, and beds that our large family needed. We had 8 adults and 5 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids thought the bunkbeds were great! It would have been nice to have at least one more single bed (non bunk) option for adults upstairs. Overall would recommend this property to others!

Overall stay was ok, we went almost a full day without a/c downstairs, we had only a few face towels to bath with and when asked to bring some they did the next day but ended up bringing in hand towels. Appliances and kitchen needs updating. Did not receive the 2nd jug of water that was suppose to be available due to the brown water. Hand soap was not available in both bathrooms. There were alot of little things. Overall it was a decent stay, but over priced for what I had to experience.

Almost a perfect stay

Beautiful place, roomy, fun, clean. Only glitch is that we can't figure out how to make the TV work, change channels.,etc in the bedrooms. So we couldn't watch TV there. But the living room TV worked nicely.
